The strange thing about this saw is the little numbers on the bottom of the clutch cover. Looks to be some type of measuring marks. I did a web search on it and no one really has a for sure answer what they're really for. :loco:

DO you have a 13" for it? I have a brand new 13 GB pro top carlton bar I was thinking about listing... I bought two when I had my 5100....

I'm interested. I haven't ordered one it yet, but I have one in my cart at Baileys. I want to stay with .325" pitch.

I'd have to see them, I've never noticed on my 550, but it's probably just numbers the molder uses to track when they were made in case an issue ever comes up.

First thing I did after inspecting my saw from Randy (the thing was used but clean!) was Google what those numbers are. I found the same info.... nada bunch of guesses. I forgot about them until you mentioned.

I'm sure the Husky saws don't have them. I'll have to take a pic when I get home so you can see 'em.

I think the marks are for measuring firewood.

What are the numbers again? I had one and vaguely remember them.

As in the pic above, the farthest left mark is 0, then 5, 10, 12 & 14. It's the strangest thing.
