Got my finger smashed today between two pieces of honey locust.my old lickety splitter is only power out and a garage door spring pulls cylinder back.if any of you have used these old splitters you know when pushing hard against a round sometimes the ram will lunge ahead violently as it breaks through, shooting the splits out.i had a half of a round of locust sitting on my homemade table while splitting the other half.when it split it shot the quarterd round ahead and hammered my finger between the splits.anybody else have some splitting injury stories to tell?I'm sure most of us do! 20230107_130940.jpg 20230107_131919.jpg 20230107_114755.jpg

    Hope that heals quick.

I keep a 1/32” drill bit handy just for those injuries. Takes the pressure off the nail quick.

Yeow! That sucks. I’ve had some close calls or lightly smashed but never anything significant. I’m crazy vigilant.
    Hope that heals up quickly.

I got my left index finger caught in a truck door it looked similar to that. Took 1 year for it to completely heal. I wrapped that nail in tape for months cus I was worried I’d catch it on something and tear it off! My stomach is turning thinking about it.
