Got a suprise at work today

    I lifted the cover off an irrigation valve and felt something touch my finger from the under side. Turned it over to find this ugly sucker. Needless to say i needed a change of underwear after this encounter. Me and spiders don't get along :eek:

    that was a nasty bugger there I would have lit him on fire after I sprayed him.

    I'm ok with most snakes, flying insects, doctors with needles. I do not like spiders and dentist drills. Oh, I have never experience fleas. Our first trip up here large dog stuck her head in a hole and came inside with 3 tiny black things on her muzzle/forehead. :hair::fart::heidi:

    I don't particularly like spiders or snakes, but they do serve a purpose in nature's scheme. That being said, if they are not a hazard, I just let them carry on doing their thing.

    I like spiders. They eat the bad bugs. But even that one was too big for comfort! Glad you "evicted" him rather than squish him. Under the circomstances, I think I would have had to check my drawers, too.o_O

    Just remember DON'T EAT THE GRAPES THAT GROW ON THE DOG! My wife freaks about everything and I laugh. I may startle a bit but not much gets to me. However my wife thinks mice are the size of mountain lions and ticks have 6 inch fangs.

    THIS IS ALL SMOKINPINEY'S FAULT!
    Went home last night and secured a few things outside, ready for the storm, lots of stuff blowing around, leaves and such. Went inside, felt something on my neck, thought about this post and quickly brushed it off with a little dance. Looked around, didn't find anything, shook out clothes etc.
    Was painting the cellar risers, and had the camping lantern on for extra light. Presently saw an ENORMOUS assassin bug creeping around the rim of the lantern. This sucker had to be 2 inches or more!! I put down my brush and gently took him outside to eat some more bugs, had to prod him off with a stick. Sorry, little buddy, you can't come in from the storm...I shuddered at the fact that this guy could have given me a painful bite...yuck.
