I agree...if it ever does this again, chances are good that you got your moneys worth out of it by then.
I bought a GT with the expectation that it would last longer than an LT doing mowing, snow plowing, and hauling firewood in a 5X10' trailer. It's done that and more for over 12 years w/o a whole lot of issue. If I can get a couple more years out of it, I'll still be a happy camper. Funny thing, wife wanted to do some garage sales today, so what did I find at one of 'em?.......yeah, an LT. Poulan 17.5 HP, small mowing deck, only 2 years old (so the guy said) and he was asking $600.
So, keeping with the plan, I moved close to a 1/3 cord of Ash into the shed this afternoon, then reloaded the 17 cu ft trailer with Beech and pulled it up to the shed to be unloaded in the morning. Mowed a bit more as I was driving to and fro, moved a bunch of stuff from the woodshed (rakes, shovels, battery charger, my SisIL's chainsaw) back to the shed behind the pole barn, then loaded up a small bag of 10-10-10 and a couple gallons of water to give the 2 underachieving Walnut trees in the field a little boost. Might do that again the end of Sept. All this because I have the tractor back. Such a HUGE timesaver.
Someone just posted that hilarious cartoon video recently. I'll be rich from these highly valuable Walnut trees once they grow up............unfortunately, I'll be dead by then. Maybe the kids can share the wealth from my highly valuable Walnut trees?
I mowed when I bought house before tractor.. 12 acres when riding mower died... push mower 4 hours a day after work and weekends.. 2 weeks lost 14 lbs.. Rider got fixed I found 14 lbs
