I have tried this five times with the same unbelievable bogus results. Shame on you "Google" Type in any 3 digit number followed by "new cases" on Google.
So this is nothing. Google just picks up "new cases" and uses that just like it does when you search for something else it does not recognize and then just finds something that might match a few words. Simple search techniques. Nothing new or amazing at all.
It also works with 4 or 5 digit numbers. Really, type in any number you want and there will be a corresponding article. What that means can be interpreted in several ways, some of which will get this thread locked down tight in a hurry.
I don't plan on doing this experiment, but I can guess what the results are. I get hounded enough about this stuff on FB and other places so don't need the search to push any more irrelevant research/surveys/facts my way.
