Pete, You could have dropped 2-3 loads at my house for storage! I would have kept a good eye on it for you. Gary
The blue one is the trailer I pulled it holds 7000 lbs but it's filled with roughly 1.5 cord right now. 2 cord is a lot of work driving through the Yankee springs area with all the hills. Because of that I like to go a little lighter on the truck. It's in post 31.
Pete- looking awesome bro. You didn't happen to slip with the saw and bring home some steaks did u? Nice btu's there!
I guess the trailer is larger than the photos make it look. I was guessing maybe 1/2 a cord in there.
Your chains ride better than mine do! Mine are tossed in a bucket with tools like files, scrench , chaps etc or just laid in the truck bed. Looks like you use my approach, just swap chains and grind them later.
Yup it's faster and I can make a chain last forever using the bench grinder. I only swapped once yesterday and the second chain is still mostly sharp.
I'm countin' on that "lasting forever thing" Pete… … cause I'm with Clem "just swap chains and grind them later." … only… I send em to you…
The trick is simply stopping when it starts to feel dull. If you push it then they end up needing to be sharpened a lot to get past the Knicks. I took three chains for the 034 super and brought home 1 un used and 2 for the 021 and brought back one un used. Makes me a happy fella!
