Not sure of the year. Craigslist score. Probably the most dependable saw I have. I have 2 of them and 1 super. I enjoy using the old school saws over some of the newer models I own. There is one tree on the bottom of that pile that is going to get the 056 treatment!!
My late uncle gave me my first "real" saw in 1985 after hurricane Gloria. I was 17. It was an 028. Very reliable and im sold on the brand since. I had been using a rinky dink Homelite til then.
good friend of mine has an 041. Hasnt used it in years. He is 65 with a bad back and knows how much i love cutting. He basically gets out of the way!
