what I wanna know is, how'd you get that thing to stand still long enough to measure and photo him??!?! Ugh... makes me wanna go hug a can of black flag....(bee spray...)
Neighbor wanted to take down a few standing dead trees His first cut Notched it, started the back cut, began to lean, and up rooted still fell the right direction. here is one I fell I think the hinge turned out OK About a 14" Ash Notch was on the left side
Well...its been a long time since September when I started this thread. Every time I thought that I'd be able to cut the owner would tell me to stay clear for one reason after another. Fast forward to Early December. The first two weeks of December I got this. this is just from one pile of tops. stack of rounds is about 38' x 4' Plus another 10' x 4' stack under the third window (hidden) (Now the grass has a good start and the log yard is getting frozen enough that the atv won't hurt it.) Been cutting the last three days, about 4-5 hours each day. I come in when I'm out of light so I haven't been able to get a pic. I started a second row in front of the first. Since the first pic, I added to, and topped this pile, with big rounds. Stack is about 48' long x 5' high. and the second stack is probably about half as long as the first. I think I have about 4 cords of rounds and tops stacked now. Need to get a pic in the light tomorrow. Some of my loads today were just 6 rounds trailer is 4' long Looks like snow on the ground...Nope...just saw dust from the 241
Gettin' wood eh? Lol Sounds like a plan regarding getting the rounds home, then splitting at home. Do you have your chains sharpened and or new ones bought? Saws all prepped? Quad gassed up, tires aired up? Sounds like fun.
I like it. Great for working on the pile of cut-offs. Really handy and... saves a lot of bending, I really like that !!! wife's probably happy it's not sticking in the kitchen wall any more too
