Today started out with a bang. A banging migraine at about 3am. From then on I never went back to sleep. This morning at 10am, I had my last game of the season to coach my daughter. Forced myself to go. Finished the game, then went with the wife and girls while they went to get haircuts. I staid in the car hoping to get some sleep. Unfortunately the amount of caffeine in my body would not allow me to go to sleep. We headed home for me to get my phone. Though I felt nauseous on the way home. By the time I got home, I was done. The wife took my daughter's to the end of season basketball party. Then on to my other daughter's game which I normally coach. I ended up spending the rest of the day in bed. With snow on the way starting tomorrow, wood needed to come in. I asked my son to get some in. Yeah that didn't happen. I ended up getting the wood in myself. Now for the good news. After filling the rack in the house, I can tell that I have enough to fill the rack by the door twice more. Should be able to get through Feb.
I used to get them really but not so much anymore. I remember many times puking from migraines. That's not fun at all. A chiropractor helped a lot for me.
I've been lucky to only have a few bad headaches in my life... had to "pull the trigger" a few times after the nausea set in. They are debilitating at their extreme and can even knock my old man out of commission (he never stops working for anything). I've tried to work with wood during headaches and never have success. There's something about the smell and sounds of the process that makes it worse. Try Excedrin migraine?
That sounds like the typical migraine. And I am not surprised you could not get sleep but it probably was nothing to do with the caffeine unless you took a lot of it. I don't use caffeine and many times I'll have to take something for it then fall asleep but the sleep is not for long. Other times when I wake up with one, sleep just does not come at all. That ruins the whole day. I'm sure everyone understood why you went but also would have understood if you couldn't have gone.
I used to get migraines when I was younger. Now I only get a bad headache when a powerful storm is on its way. It's like my early bad storm warning.
