    Good afternoon all. Better morning today than yesterday. Started at 57 compared to 47 yesterday. Going up to 80 again .
    Chaz is waiting for a call from our mechanic so he go pick up the truck. Needed inspection.

    Coolish out with humidity rising. Rain "should " begin falling tonight, through tomorrow, and hopefully into Tuesday. I'll believe it when I see it.

    I was going to assemble and level a new wood rack today, but after futzing around doing that the past couple of days, I changed my mind. Instead, I'll deal with a few pre-rain activities in the yard.

    Had a pretty good day yesterday. In afternoon I paid a short visit to a friend and really was blessed. This lady lost her husband (I knew him well since our youth) just a couple months before I lost Judy and I check on her from time to time. But, her, her husband and daughters had been having problems getting along with her son. I have never had a problem with anyone from that family but I've tried off and on for years to do anything I could to patch things up. Yesterday as we sat in the house I saw her son walking toward the house carrying a package. Seems Amazon delivered something to him but it was supposed to go to his mother. I let him in. His mother did stand up when he came in and after he explained the package mix-up he walked over and gave his mother a big hug! What a thrill to see these two embrace and it was long and meaningful. They were still hugging when I quietly stepped out of the house to give them privacy. That really made my day.

    When I went back inside we all sat down and had a nice conversation. We need more days like that!

    Morning All. Rain this morning. Of course it is. We are heading down island to pick up a used outdoor Acorn chair lift for Mom. Her four year old one has died. Lots of used units on the market that have hardly been used. Mom uses her at least once a day so I think she wore it out. I hope it isn't raining too heavily where we are going. We will take it over tomorrow and install it. Mom can do stairs now but it takes a lot out of her.

    Good morning all. 67 and going up to mid 70s.
    Gonna go pick up groceries in a little while. We have been using Walmart pick-up service. Put in a big order so we will be covered for when Chaz is off after his knee surgery.
    Looks like some rain coming in this afternoon.

    Excellent story. I'm happy for them because I know what that is like personally. I also know things left unsaid will eat at you after it's to late.

    Look up the song The Living Years by Mike and the Mechanics. I can hardly listen to it without turning into a slobbery mess.

    Rain is forecasted for today and tomorrow. 5+ inches forecasted. I sure hope we get as much as possible, without causing any flooding issues for anyone.
