Good morning! 64F and sunny. Humidity is on the rise for the next few days. I was low on bundles yesterday after 8 sold at the roadside stand. I split a couple rounds of maple I still had from last year and noodles some barkless standing dead ash to make more bundles. Had a couple other sales yesterday and filled the stand up. Music practice and likely refilling the stand tonight. The lovely Mrs. WinonaRail is having a birthday. Have a God day!

 

Morning All. Heavy thick fog this morning. I can barely see downtown. campinspecter is headed out for another load of firewood this morning. I am taking Mom down island for a medical appt. so it will be a busy day. It has been a busy week getting back into the swing of work.

Backwoods Savage you would love our weather here except for the dark grey days of winter. The rest of the island is sweltering in heat right now and we finally get 70 to 73 F temps for a couple of days.

Good afternoon y'all. Hope y'all have a TREMENDOUS THURSDAY. Off today, so we are cutting trees. Took our 5 yr old grandson to school on the way to the job site, he lives riding in the truck. He asked why we have 4 chainsaws on the truck. He don't miss much.

What a refreshing way to start the day. 49⁰ with a dp of 39⁰. Clear and calm.

House windows were left open. 64⁰ inside. Wood stove temps! But there'll be no fire.

I'll be taking advantage of the cool start to split a bit of wood and top off a new rack.

I have a few medical related phone calls to make today. Clarification of appointments and some insurance questions.

Morning All. Mom and I made our trip down island and got back safely. It started out with the ferry being late an hour so we just got down to the appt in time without lunch. Sat for an hour because they were running behind as well. Finally got something to eat about 4:00 and then had to get back quickly to make sure Mom got back on the ferry which of course was more on time. Mom is a trouper and did really well but it was a long day for her. While we were doing all that, campinspecter went out and got a load of firewood and delivered it to Mom's place.

Off to work today. It is going to be a busy day.

One more fall-ish day. Currently 54⁰ and dp 47⁰. Clearcand calm, with bright stars.

I'll be off to get more materials to finish 2 more wood racks. Then, move wood to them.

Later, we'll be going out to eat with my BIL and wife.

Morning All. Sunrise without fog or rain. I think we get rain tomorrow.

As the mothers and children tried to press through the crowd to see Jesus, the disciples told them to go away as Jesus was busy and tired. Jesus knew what was important and said “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these” Luke 18:16 As we go about our busy day, let us not forget to lead the little ones to the knowledge of Jesus' love.

Good afternoon! 78F and sunny, very humid. It was supposed to be cloudy today. I bucked most of the ash that I didn't get to yesterday. I'll split it later today. Moved some honey locust onto the main log stack and trimmed up a few pieces. There are some monster logs there. Made a couple bundles for the roadside stand and went in inside to cool off. I need to mow after lunch. Have a God day!
