Lol you need to get a bunch more wood so people can come down once it is cooler so they can come down and help ya ss.

 

That's the problem, still got plenty of logs and now where to put it....you want to haul some back home??

 

Ah no. Hopefully next year or the one after that, we are going to have so much wood cut down that it will give us a 10 yr supply to buck, split and stack. Chaz has been working on dropping a few ash here and there but we have a small start.

 

Good morning everyone! I got the pool walls painted yesterday, but a lot of detailing needs to be done today.
You can't tell from the pic, but the cement is pockmarked and the roller didn't reach inside a lot of the pocks. So, I'll mix up small batches of paint and fill them in with a brush. This paint lot is a different shade, ask me if I care. It just fades anyway.
Maybe I can get some oak split too. I'm trying to do a lot before it gets hot this weekend. Also have my grandson tomorrow.

Too warm to deal with wood for a few days. So, we're heading to Hyannis for a few days. Nice temps to be by the ocean.

Good morning y'all. Hope y'all have a FABULOUS FRIDAY. We got in about 4:30 this AM from the hospital with Mom. She will be there a few days, still trying to decide if they can operate on her leg. My brother made it down last night and my sister is on the way up from FLA. We are leaving after while for our anniversary trip.

We stopped on the way down for an early dinner. Checked out a seafood place a coworker recommended. Got there just in time for the dinner buffet. they had crab legs too, but we're kind of $$$...looked good. Another table was fixing to get cracking...

When I was a teenager, it seemed to me that everybody else pretty much had it going on and I was on the outside looking in. Only much later in life did it dawn on me that everybody else was struggling just as much as I was. They were just better at pretending self-confidence.

People are cruel. Children are cruel. Teenagers can be especially cruel. They are masters of mockery, cliques, exclusion, castes, boasting, gossip, and sarcasm. All these things just cover for their own inner fears and depression.

Do these teen dysfunctions sound like your adult world? Rise above it and shock people by being different. Let your Jesus show and change the culture. Choose to praise instead of belittle: “We who are strong ought to bear with the failings of the weak and not to please ourselves. Each of us should please our neighbors for their good, to build them up” (Romans 15:1,2). Anyone can mock somebody else. It takes a Christian to look for good in people and praise them out loud.

People are starving for affirmation. Most people I know are running on fumes, burdened with health problems, money stress, family troubles, and self-doubt. Looking for things to praise in other people costs you nothing and might lift someone out of a huge hole. Tomorrow pick one person just because and choose to praise him or her.

Don’t wait till you feel it. Go first.
