    I remember the first time I read this. I smiled because that is what I started doing very early in my life. I have always felt closer to God when I've been alone vs being amongst a group of people.

    Nothing new otherwise. No real plans for today. Maybe, a visit with my folks.

    Good morning MikeInMa and all. I sleep 4-5 hours straight then feel like getting up. Luckily my wife is wired the same way.

    We are enjoying a fresh snowfall in front of the warm stove now. Looks like a cold week ahead with lows 0 or slightly below. I filled the garage spaces with wood yesterday for the next week or so.

    Yesterday I took a trip to see Eggshooterist. Then we went and bought a new office chair for me. So far I like it! Thanks again Steve.

    On the way home I also stopped to see Armbru84. It was a good day.

    Morning all. 65° at its peak yesterday, now 40° and dropping. The wind has been bad all night and continues. Im sure more trees will need to be cut off our 2.4 miles of trails.

    Morning All. So much for days of sunshine. Heavy overcast with mist drizzle this morning. It will probably clear up around noon. We are headed over to Mom's today. She is taking us out for lunch in the old church building where we were married. It was converted years ago into a guest hostel and new owners are offering meals on Saturday and Sunday. It will be neat to see inside of it.

    I also like the gathering together of God's people to worship together on Sabbath. Singing, praying and listening to words from the Bible together as a church family are also good to fill the soul.

    Wow. You really got warm after I left! We got to 57 here. Its now 39 and falling. Wind was bad between 7:00 and 9:00. It seems to be getting stronger again but not strong like this morning. Still not much snow forecast.
