    I sure have liked all the red sunrise pictures!

    It did not get as cold as expected overnight but the temperature is not expected to rise at all today and perhaps fall more. Welcome to January.

    Good morning! 15F and mostly sunny. It snowed overnight, surprising since there was 0 precip in the forecast. Music practice at church tonight. First time with the whole team using in ear monitors so it should be interesting. Gotta get some fuel in the shop because the fuel cans are running dry. Have a God day!

    Morning All. I agree with Backwoods Savage The red sunrise pictures have been spectacular. Although red skies in Morning, sailors take warning.
    We got a heavy rainfall last night but I think we are looking forward to a drier weekend starting Friday. I am off to work this morning. last day for this week.

    12⁰ here, clear with a near full moon lighting things up. Heading to low 20's and sunny.

    Got mom's booster shot yesterday. All went well. Good to have that off the list.

    Planning to make, not for breakfast, but for a late lunch, blueberry pancakes and bacon. Real maple syrup. :thumbs:

    Good morning y'all. Hope y'all have a FABULOUS FRIDAY. Have to work 7AM-7PM this weekend. 42° this morning, temps will start dropping all day, chance of some snow tonight. Had to get early start yesterday, got the load of wood delivered before the rain started. I did get some chunks split and the top and door put on the tote. 0120221545.jpg

    Good morning everyone! Cold and sunny today and tomorrow. Yesterday I got one bay of the woodshed empty and swept out. Now I have to choose what to put in it. No snow in the forecast to speak of, so that won't hinder me.
    I also have to decide what to burn next. Since the ground is bare, it makes sense to pull from stacks far away from the basement bulkhead. I may not be able to get to them later. The racks around the pool are prime candidates.

    Happy Friday! 9F and bright sun. Saw that my $20 stacks at the roadside stand had been purchased so I need to refill during my lunch. Need some groceries so that will happen tonight. Hope to get outside and do some splitting tomorrow. Have a God day!

    Silly weather. It warmed up 2 degrees yesterday so we expected a super cold overnight but the temperature only dropped 4 degrees. Had enough cold now and ready for some moderation.

    I'm betting there won't be a whole lot of sap running in January this year...

    Had to make a quick trip to town this morning. It is cold but it is nice. 18 degrees now with no wind and sunny.

    Not sure if I ever remember as much sun as we've been getting this winter.

    Good afternoon everybody. -3 when I got up. Up to 10,*. Suppose to get down to -8* tomorrow morning. Got the stove cranking.
    Found out at my last physical that I have a small hiatial hernia. Now I get to have an upper GI done. Having some issues when taking some of my meds and eating.

    Temps have been dropping all day, 35 and light rain now. Forecasted for us to have ice and maybe a little snow tonight. I better load a big chunk of wood on the truck and put the ash bucket in the truck...
