Good morning everyone! Yesterday I moved all the split birch in the driveway into a metal shed in the backyard. Now I've got more room for driveway operations. That's where splitting happens now, because the little splitter lives in the garage and has to be plugged in.
Today we take an old lady to the grocery store, then I'll go swimming.

I understand about that. We had 3 long deliveries so far this year, all were dump trailer loads. 2 were about 45 miles, 1 about 60. Just make sure to add some for the mileage. The longest one didn't mind the extra $100, because he knew our product was prime wood.

My heart goes out to Mark and Dennis, it's bad enough to deal with physical pain, but then add the loss of your best friend......
I know GOD has a plan for each of us, and HE isn't finished with us yet, we are still here. Sometimes our trials will help us help others...

I charge $1.50/mile. The $54 delivery bill didn't phase the guy so it was worthwhile for me. I had another guy contact me from CL. He was almost 90 miles away. That sale didn't come together. I don't really want to get in a habit of long-distance deliveries but it's helping me grow my business. I'm only 27 weeks into this and happy with how things are going. Except...I need to CSS a lot more wood!

 

Good morning! 47F and cloudy, chance of showers this morning. Warmest day of the week. Got 2 bundle deliveries done last night and home before 9:00. Dark comes way too early these days. Music practice at church tonight and then probably make some bundles for the roadside stand. I only have 2 and that isn't quite enough. I'll work on building inventory this weekend. Morning All. Just above freezing this morning and NO rain. We get a break until Sunday. I am working today so I better get going. Our trip down island was uneventful except we thought they were actually going to work on the RV. No, it was a drop off time and they will get back to us when it is ready to go home. Hopefully we will be able to get it before it snows. We thought we would be the only RV on the road but there are some still traveling. Maybe like us - just going for repairs or repositioning. campinspecter said we will need by next April. The service man just looked at him.

Dr called . Need to keep taking the meloxicam and have app in 2 weeks with Orthopedics DR.. Doesn't look like I will need a operation but maybe a shot in the knee to help it heal. See what happens. As far as sleeping I been taking something for a long time to sleep it's just hard to sleep when your hole right side hurts. I may end up on a pain pill for at night if I don't get better. The good news is the rest of my tests were ok as long as my bp goes down. After talking to the DR I do think I will get better than I am. That would be very good. I do want to feel better so I can get more work done and there is so many things I haven't been able to get to. I'd really enjoy working outside this coming spring. I have logs to cut, house to work on and lots of other things to do. Can't wait. Thanks Molly ,Jeff and Chazsbetterhalf and you all.

Neil loves the little electric splitter! I load it and he works the lever. Hand splitting is hit or miss for him, so to speak. So he prefers the splitter.
