Went into the laundry room to put in my boots. Our doe and 2 yearling were right outside at the carport and front deck, eating acorns for breakfast @ 9AM... 1117210901_HDR.jpg

Morning All. Temps just above freezing. I thought it was going to drop below last night. I think we get a clear day with rain moving in tomorrow. Hard to see out there as it is dark! Working again today so I better get going and get ready.

Sirchopsalot Good thing you checked the coffee before warming it up. I have inadvertently left tea too long in the pot and found the same thing. I hope you are on the upside of the plague.

T.Jeff Veal You have flowers still blooming. Nice shot of the deer.

    Everyone have a great day.

Good morning! It's a balmy 59F now. Rain is supposed to move in for the day and temps will be dropping. I picked up my truck from the shop after work yesterday. Good to have it back home because I need to use my trailer this weekend. I made a few bundles of maple last night and put them in the roadside stand. Not much traffic there now with the cooler weather but I'm hoping people will be using their fireplaces now. Probably inside barn work tonight because of rain. I have lots or organizing and cleaning up to do. Probably a good time for it. Have a God day!

I picked up the venison this morning and delivered it to the pastor's house. I did keep a few packages out but the bulk went there.

The processor has had so many deer come in he has to turn people away now. I felt sorry for a couple who came while I was there as they had a nice buck. I told him where I'd try but the processor said they too were turning customers away because so many are coming in. But it is now raining a lot so that could slow things down a bit.

I also met a man there who carries the same name as me. We are not related nor had ever met. He is 2 years younger than me.

    Good morning, everyone.

Warm start on the way to close to 70⁰.

I'll be doing some rack management. Consolidating wood to free up a couple of short racks to put fresh splits on.

    Stay safe
    Stay healthy

Good morning everyone! One day warmup, woohoo!Yesterday I split a lot of birch, today I'll split more. Until we go on one of my husband's volunteer driving commitments, driving a little old lady to the grocery store. After that, swimming. h6oWpPl.jpeg

Morning All. Yesterday was a dry day thankfully. I don't think it has hit the news down south but we have had major flooding in our province. Not where we live but near the largest city in the province. All access to the rest of the province has been cutoff. Major highways lost bridges and sections of roads. Railroads are washed out. South end of Vancouver Island lost a major connecting highway. An atmosphere river brought major rain to that area and to northern Washington state. People stranded between mudslides and were rescued from the tops of houses. Some areas were agricultural so thousands of cows, chickens, turkeys were lost. People not only losing their homes but their livelihood as well. It is a real mess.

I hope for everyone else has a great day.

Good morning! 36F and sunny. Chance of snow for the next few days but don't expect much. Finally found the Mingo Marker that I ordered several months ago and put it in the truck last night. Got a new trail cam and set it up. Just need to mount it tonight with the solar panel. Music practice at church tonight so that will about do it for today. Have a God day!
