Morning all, gonna be a beautiful 70 degree day here today and tomorrow. Going to get some more of the outside chores done before the weather decides to sock in. Leaning toward a fishing day tomorrow as the weekend forecast calls for rain. Everyone have a great and safe day.

Sorry you got the bad news. But, perhaps you can set yourself up, so your life won't be too physically demanding. I hope you have enough help to get through this winter, if you need it.

Good morning! Another dreary damp morning in the flatlands of northern Indiana. I went to the Marketplace score and loaded a full truck of cottonwood. Not my favorite species but it all burns. The pics didn't do it justice. I'm guessing another load and a half plus they have railroad ties and wood chips if I want them. No other outside work done as it rains every few minutes. Music practice at church tonight. Have a God day!

Thank you. I think I can still handle most things.

Just called the surgeon who did my neck surgery because we need a new picture of that. Have to see another one as my doctor passed away.

You are her angel, to be there for her! I am sure that on some level she is grateful for all that you do for her. Especially keeping her at home. Take care of yourself, in the meantime.

My heart goes out to you. So sad and it brings back so many unpleasant memories. I'll say some prayers for both of you.

Thanks Russ but it is not so bad. I only have myself to take care of now so it doesn't matter a whole lot. I'll just continue to do what I can and live with it.

As I quickly skimmed through the back pages of this thread (which sadly I have neglected recently) I see that several "Friends in Firewood" have been experiencing some rough patches lately with regards to aging parents. It is always sad to watch our loved ones age and decline. I'm very sorry MikeInMa mat60 and T.Jeff Veal that you are having to deal with these circumstances. If I left anyone out please forgive me. In my experience, dealing with aging parents was the most difficult thing I have ever done. At some point, especially when your loved one has dementia and does not recognize what you are doing for them, you can only take solace in the fact that you are doing right by them. Honoring your loved one by sticking by them and providing what dignity and help that you can is truly a treasure in heaven no matter the difficulty and sadness that it brings now. Good on all of you! Take it one day at a time, treasure the last moments that are pleasant and remember that happiness shared is doubled and sadness shared is halved!
