Going to get driver license renewed; its that time of year. Yesterday was a busy day and this morning it was a struggle getting up and walking to the kitchen. Mornings like this I really need Judy.

One day down, 2 more to go, then more camping with the elk. Hope to see more this time.

    Prayers lifted for you, Dennis.
Those of us with aging parents are all facing challenges. We can lean on each other for strength and encouragement. Hope your dad's eye appointment goes well.
My mom will be 95 on Nov 1st. She has been in nursing home since January this year. She has fallen out of the wheel chair, they got her a better one, then my sister said they called her Sunday. Mama had fallen out of the bed, they don't allow them to have rails anymore...sure wish they had something on there.
My sister saw her yesterday, she had hit her head when she fell...
This makes me hurt to see...
Please say a prayer for my sweet mom...she seems to be ok.... 15954.jpeg

I can't hardly believe the home can't use rails to protect someone from falling and hurting themselves.
This is so sad. Hoping/praying momma Veal heals quickly.

Very sorry to hear the trials and tribulations a lot of you are having with your parents. Similar boat with my Dad, he will be 90 at the end of October....Hate to see him in the nursing home, I feel my sister and I let him down, but I don't believe she or I could provide him with the assistance he needs. :tears:

Good Morning by the way, I peruse this thread everyday, just do not comment very often. :D

Where y'all going? Back down to TN/NC area?
A rehab deer has shown up in the area around where my son lives. It had gotten in the neighbor's dog pen with 2 dogs, ate dog food, got back out and came over to his house.

We have asked. When she was in a different facility with her broken leg, they had a mattress that had raised edges, really helped keep patients in bed. Maybe they can get something lime that.

Falls are the worst, the last thing these poor old dears need is a head injury. There are bed alarms that summon the aides when a person gets out of bed.
I remember the anxiety of waiting for the phone to ring, sending us on another trip to the ER.
Mike, are their teeth OK? I was glad to get my mom's teeth in good shape before she went into memory care and declined further.

No need for dentist visits. I think this is a good thing, I think.

Good morning everyone! Today is supposed to be on the damp side. I guess that means housecleaning.
I haven't been making huge accomplishments in the yard, but bit by bit I'm getting things done. I need to get winter prep done before leaf cleanup overrides everything else.
My husband got contacted by a recruiter for a job fixing medical equipment in hospitals. We'll see what comes of it, it might be a fun job for him.
My grandson's 8th birthday is right around the corner. I asked him what he wanted, and he said zombie action figures. I have a feeling that this is a request that his parents wouldn't fulfill. 9hJev3H.jpg
    Have a great day!

Good morning! Nice cool start today getting up into the upper 70s. Got most of the yard mowed last night. I didn't realize how much the grass had grown. It's a nice lush green again. I unjammed my chipper and got it ready for the weekend. Hope to get back to bucking up the blowdown. I'll stage it for splitting sometime next month. Have a God day!
