You are correct about that. Just a steady rain coming down. Flash flooding warnings are up. Might have some areas but we won't have to worry at our house.

29 quart freezer bags of sauce so far, all about this size (water bottle for scale).

Plus, we've given away a lot of fresh ones. And the plants show no sign of slowing down.

    Good morning, everyone.

There's a wall of water moving east towards us. Remains of Fred

Good morning everyone! It just started to rain here. I got the lawn mowed and the patio swept yesterday, so I'm ready.
I'm going to clean out the toy room (again) and see if I can reclaim some space. And surf the internet from my couch ( but I do that every day!) QhFVhAM.jpg
Have a good ( if soggy) day!

Good morning y'all. Hope y'all have a TREMENDOUS THURSDAY. Hope my northern friends only get some rain and maybe the other storm floating around out there will stay offshore.
It's Friday for me, finally getting all my days off again. We finished the 2 truck load order last night. It was bad muggy, started about 7:30, finished stacking close to 10:00, I drank 4 bottles of water and barely needed a "water the tree" break. Planning on a big cutting day tomorrow, gonna start on a cord trailer load...
My view this morning on the way to work...the Lord paints a beautiful canvas even in the dark... 0819210630.jpg
And last night, sky was clear, except for 1 towering thunderhead. This phone camera has great low light capabilities. It was about 10:15PM when I took this. 0818212230.jpg

Good morning! Typical day of calling applicants and doing interviews. My job is fairly predictable. Music practice at church tonight so no outdoor activities. I have a hollow round I'm going to list on Marketplace to explore selling Swedish candles. Anybody ever try that? We'll see how it goes. Have a God day!

Morning All. Overcast and misty this morning. I am headed over to Mom's to do some yard work and archive stuff. campinspecter has chores here to do. Had a great visit with a friend yesterday. The week has gone by so fast and so has the month.

Midwinter I can't get rabbit poop for my garden but I hope to be using horse manure next year for the garden. I found a free source for it.

    Everyone have a great day.

Make sure the manure isn't too fresh. Composted is best.

I think what is available is composted. I thought I would dig it in this fall and leave it until next spring before planting.

We got hit last night. Thankfully No damage at our house but I'll take a closer look after work. The city had a lot of water rescues from vehicles. Most in the areas that typically flood over and over. But the powers that be do little to help the situation and continue to pave everything over. It also doesn't help people try to drive through the flooded streets.

Wow, street flooding, you must've gotten walloped! Only 1.5 inches expected here, but talk to me after Henri.

That will help alot. If it's composted, it has probably gone through enough heat to help kill weed seeds...
