Good afternoon everybody. Hit and humid. I spent about 2 hrs mowing yesterday. Got a bunch of the yard done. Still got more to do. So far haven't talked myself into doing it yet.
Chaz continues to work on drainage ditches.
    Have a great day all.

Morning All. Busy day today. Going to Mom's place and bringing her back here for the night. We all have dental appointments down island early tomorrow. We got a lot of rain off and on yesterday but I think we are in for a clearing up spell and warmer weather. Garden is looking better. Peas and beans are up. I might get two pac choy if they don't bolt in the warmer weather that is coming. And I have a harvest of peas for tonight's dinner.

    Everyone have a great day.

We do about the same amount. Our problem is we are on the side of a hill and have lots of springs. It was tall this time as we were getting enough rain that it wouldn't dry out.

    Good morning, folks.

    Hot and humid week ahead.

No too much today. A walk, some band pruning around the yard, and grocery shopping.

    Stay safe
    Stay healthy

Reading a little about submitting to God. Something I've never done well or fully. That'll be my focus for today.....that process.

I have become friends with 2 young kiddos (11 &14), who live across the street. They like our dog, and come over for conversation, and the oddball bike repair. One kids parents, I've done some work for. They've watched me set up the newest pallets for stacking wood. Yesterday, when they dropped by (they were waiting for me to come out) I asked them if they'd like to chuck some wood with me.
For a couple hours, we hauled splits to the stack, we laughed, played with the dog, threw logs, and generally had a blast!!

We got more wood moved in 2 hours....I don't know where kids that size get that kind of energy! They must not play too many video games. (This generation has some hope yet!!!)

One was so polite, cultured even, complimented me on the house (renovations to make it simpler/rustic) when we all went in for cold water. He wanted to to know about me, us (wife and I). How many 11 year olds do that?!? (Did I mention he also speaks fluent French?)

I am still floored. And blessed. And greatful. Been asking God to double the blessings on their families, for the work their kiddos did and honor they brought.

And since Dear Wife and I will be out stacking today, they'll be looking for us out there (they can see into our back yard) and have decided to come back for more.

    Truly amazed today!

    Sca

Good morning everyone! Sirchopsalot, your new wood buddies sound like fun kids! Making firewood is a life skill that may come in handy for them someday.
    T.Jeff, stay hydrated this week!
I may have a visit from a traveling firewood hoarder this week... looking forward to it!
I have nothing specific planned today, just whatever needs doing. SnailRace.jpg
    Have a good Monday!
