This is up around Harrington, off Ripley Neck. My hostess owns the island, so I'm leaving the cutting decisions to her. It's about a quarter mile kayak paddle from the mainland. There is also a skiff, which no one likes using for some reason. If you've experienced the Maine coast, you get why I'm jumping at a working vacation up there!
Good morning! It's another beautiful morning in the mid-50s. Enjoying this before summer returns this weekend. I split another rack of shorts and uglies last night. I saved a couple rounds and made some small splits about 12" long. I'll split them down further by hand for kindling. I need to replace the hitch on my Gator tonight and hang some fans in the barn. Have a God day! Sent from my moto z3 using Tapatalk
Nice! Make sure you have good footing to get away from it. Cut at a comfortable height to avoid rocks. You'll do just fine otherwise!
Morning All. Gorgeous clear sky this morning. Slept in until our furry alarm clock got me out of bed. We had to check out the garden as she figured there was something down there. Up late, late last night as we had company. So nice to have visitors (not family) after a 1 1/2 years. I sure missed a lot going on this morning already. Midwinter I love the lobster costume. A few years ago, Mom dug out a cat costume she had made me and we sent it down to her great granddaughter. I think we found a costume from a Roller follies I was in as well. Mom and I are clothes hoarder especially if there is a memory attached to the item. Enjoy your visit to Maine and be careful with that tree felling. MikeInMa Glad to know the medical issue turned out good. Again Happy birthday. I am enjoying your pictures of your day trips. Backwoods Savage I don't have the extreme pain you do but I quite often wake up with headaches, shoulder aches and generally feeling awful. Fortunately for me, as the day goes on, it generally goes away and I feel great by the time it is ready to go to bed again. WinonaRail sounds you have been enjoying our summer weather. Still no rain here. It has been a long dry stretch for us. Everyone have a great day.
This week has been the best weather week so far. Cooler. low humidity and no rain. I'd ship you some of the monsoons we had in July if I could.
Good morning, everyone. Another nice day to start. Upper 70's this afternoon. Heavy rains rolling up the coast get here by later afternoon. 36hrs of rain forecasted with flood warnings for the area. Good to live on a hill. Part 1 of my folks TB tests went well. Part 2 is tomorrow afternoon. I'll be trying to identify the type and model number(s) of the carburetor on the husky 350. The saw's behavior indicates a possible replacement is needed. Stay safe Stay healthy
Good morning everyone! I'll be headed up to Maine this morning. There will be rain up there tonight and into Thursday, but Friday looks better. I really hope I can get some cutting done on Thursday. No electricity up there, but there is a solar phone charger. I doubt it could handle Tiktok. This is was the sunset up there yesterday. Have a great Wednesday!
Midwinter, have a blast. The sunset was beautiful in MA as well. 'Course its never as nice as when its over water. Mike, sounds like you have your hands full. Good to hear of a good report on your health. I just quit smoking because I don't need a bad report....cigars off and on for the last 15 years. My truck developed a radiator leak last night on the way home from work. I wouldn't have caught it if I hadn't stopped for gas (unusual to do that on my way home). So I added water and limped home. And made it. Gotta see If there is a place to get that addressed today. Hopefully I don't have to miss work tonight (for the sake of the guys that would have to cover my shift) I was thinking of limping back, and having my regular mechanic up near work do the repair tomorrow, and just camp out in the back 40 at work, but with the weather coming, that is not an option! But I got home on a prayer, all will be well!! Sca
