Had the burn this morning. It is just smoldering a bit now. Need to get backhoe on tractor and dig a hole to bury what did not burn; plastic, metals, glass, etc. Also hung a trail camera in case the scumbags come back with more trash.

Good afternoon all. Light showers have moved in. The ground is just saturated. We could use a week of nice sunshine and a light breeze.
    Have great weekend all.
    Stay safe and stay healthy.

    Good morning early risers!

Got to catch up here with my coffee, then garden time…canning more dill beans, cucumber pickles, trimming the garlic and working a strawberry bed by mowing it down, a stiff raking to remove older crowns, then.a nice top layer of compost.

Opened doors and windows to let cool air in a bit.
Loaded gear (and studying a bit). Playing fire fighter for a few hours this morning (training). Will be interesting wearing a nice heavy quilt while working outside for a few hours. Can't wait to see how this aging vessel responds to that.

Drinking water like a fish, and doing something else like a race horse since noon yesterday.

Hoping to run the splitter for a few hours afterward. A nice relaxing finish to the day.

Hope yall have an awesome day!

Good morning everyone! No rain here yet! Been watching Brandon fishing again, he has a great camera on his phone, so pretty on the lake.
The tomatoes really ripened up with two days of heat. IMG_20210717_41379.jpg
Going to send my grandson into the jungle tomorrow to pick them.
My husband wants to build a grape arbor along the back fence as a privacy screen. We have a Concord vine in the front of the house, and it's loaded with immature bunches.
    I'm loving summer! IMG_20210717_22677.jpg
    Have a great Saturday!

6 more pints are not in the pantry. Took a break from the morning’s activities to eat a slice of cold pizza and get some more coffee before mowing.

I know that "peepers" are a harbinger of early spring. Never heard of anyone pickling them.

Morning All. Sunshine first thing this morning. Small non-rain system moving through the area. Forecast is for sprinkles of rain but so far nothing. Air smells fresher though.

Looks like a Russian Rhapsody Daylily. There's a similar Indian Giver Daylily, but it has white around the leaf margins.

Morning all. Got my Cajun friends Wes and Rodney back on the road this morning. They had a blast for a few days. Bringing their wives back next time. We have a place for them to stay for free since I now know they aren’t serial killers. Hope everyone is doing well. Enjoy the weather, be cold soon…
