Morning. Taking our friend Gary fishing with us this morning. Gonna try to go live on Tiktok and give our throngs of fans some live action they are craving. Cell service is gonna be the buzz kill I’d say. Looking to get a cell booster. Enjoy the extended holiday folks. Just relax…

    Good morning, all.

Cool and dry this morning. Perfect for mowing the lawn, then some grocery shopping.

    Stay safe
    Stay healthy

Been awake since 1:00 am. Had terrible headache. It eased but no sleep. Leg cramps started. Geeze. Tried reading. Finally got up and found some ants found their way into house. War is on. Decided to get online to see what might be happening. Temp outside is 71 and expected 90 today. Yesterday was 88 but wasn't all that bad if not in the sun. Went on a long ride with golf cart. Not much else. Did get cards from trail cam and watched the videos. One picture was interesting. Sadly the picture didn't turn out great trying to capture it from video but a pair of fawns were really fascinated with a young bucks antlers. I may try to capture a better picture on the old computer.

Exactly what's on for me today.
Reverse order but the same on the agenda.
Figured I would grab a few groceries early and give the lawn a little time to dry out before I cut it , getting pretty long but weather has not been on our side around here to get it done.
If all goes well I hope to go and pull a trailer load of logs for the mill after that.

Have a great day everyone !!

Hey backwoods , we had a bunch of ants at my work last week also. Talking with the exterminator and he said it was probably weather related, we have had a lot of rain over the past week or so that he suspects had something to do with it.

I agree. Every time we get heavy rain or lots of rain the ants start looking for new homes. Tero to the rescue.

It turned out a little better. There was a little fog is why they are not really clear but you can see what was happening. That closest fawn really was interested.

Good morning everyone! It rained some more last night, but we saw the sun yesterday, and today will be clear.
This morning I'll cut up the locust that's around the block. Excited! Pics will be coming of course.

Good morning y'all. Hope y'all have a MARVELOUS MONDAY. Going down to our daughter's house this morning, putting a AC/HEATER unit in the window of the youngest grandson's room and moving his bed in there as well. Might have time to cut a little wood before  time. Got a church dinner with the hunny at 6 tonight. Go to work at 8:00 tonight.
Be a blessing to someone today.
    GOD LOVES YOU AND ME

Morning All. Heavy overcast this morning but it should clear off. We are going down island for shopping and errands. Probably see the sunshine about 10 miles out of town. Could be quite a bit warmer down there than here.

    Everyone have a great day.

    Good morning.
One more day off and than it's back to reality. :(
Need to do some mowing this morning and than will finish up this evening. Calling for 90 today and 96 tomorrow. Which sux!
Started to hand split some rounds yesterday, might do that when the area goes into shade. If I can find the motivation.
    Have a great monday!

    Last nights entertainment...

    316 mortars & 4 cakes....

it was a good show, made some mods from previous years.... which we won’t be doing next year.... first year that we had to go relight twice....that was a show killer for me... maybe not the audience...

mom another note I love living on a hill tallest point of the county... got to see a lot of good displays prior to and after our show....

Now for 365 days till the next...

I hadn't realized that there had been some pre-dawn showers. So, like you, I ran errands before mowing the lawn.

Good morning everybody. Chaz and I got our mowing done yesterday. About 4 acres that we maintain. He was on the atv with the brush hog. I was on the rider.
Going to be about 80 today. Only 75 yesterday.
    Have a great day all.
    Stay safe and stay healthy.

A nice morning on a quiet lake along the Gunflint Trail.

We kept a nice sized walleye and some frying size smallmouth bass to feed the crew last night. Nobody noticed any difference in flavor.

The county roads are lined for miles and miles with beautiful wildflowers this time of year.
