Good. Busy though. At the moment I have 4 windows, rear slider, and front door out in process of paint. Lightnin’ Bugs had a party in here overnight cuz of that.

 

Good Morning. Had a great revelation when I woke up at 3:50am. Thought for moment it was a day to get ready for work, then realized I am off work for a week on vacation!

Our plans include fishing, gardening, canning, napping, "work" around and on the cabin, moving around some wood, a little cutting off our trails, and most importantly....no TV, news or any other screen time after we get up north later today!

Good morning everyone! Today a little cooking, a little cleaning, and some yardwork and wood moving. These days go by so fast! My grandson is going to Chicago for 10 days so no babysitting. I'll miss him!
Tomorrow my husband and I will finally rent a trailer so I can practice in a parking lot. As long as Uhaul lets me rent one, they seem kind of strict about hitch ratings. Mine is 1000 lbs, which seems barely acceptable.
I'm going outside, before it gets hot. Talk to you later, have a good one!

 

Good morning brother..... almost

 

Good afternoon all. A very enjoyable day so far. Not counting my computer mouse taking a dump on me. Came outside with Holly. She had her snack and a few minutes later she doing a little bit of whining. So hopped on the 4 wheeler to take her for a run up to the crossover. She was doing her thing and a few minutes of getting there had. The most beautiful site.
Just above tree top height a bird flew over going left to right. Then it took a sharp right turn and headed east. Then I could see it very clearly. A white head and tail an bald eagle. Beautiful.
When I left to take her for the run as came across the front yard with her in front of me there is a little bank. Until we got close we didn't realize that the neighbors are visiting. We were within 10' of them. Managed to keep her moving and we were gone about half hr. When we came back the 3 of them where right in front of the porch. They went under a Bush to hide then came out a few minutes later and started to head back home. I let Holly start wondering a few minutes later. And now their back. They are feeding within 5 to 10' of us. Took a few stills and one video but Chaz will have to take care of that. Holly seen chickens for the 1st time yesterday. She is doing great with them.

Chatty is good! That eagle could have been hunting those chickens.

 

We have quite a few bald eagles around here. It is not unusual to see a dozen or more down by the Mississippi. I have even seen them out along county roads eating on car killed deer.

 

Could be but I left a note yesterday letting her know they were over and asked her to call me about something else but she never did. But unfortunately when I stepped inside Holly did kill one of the three. I did go over to let her know but she wasn't home. Chaz and I both feel real bad but I put some of the blame on me. I stepped inside for about two minutes and did not put her on the leash and that was all it took.
