Good Morning, Brothers & Sisters Thread

Good afternoon. Like Jeff said. A hot one today. 86 with partly cloudy skies and humid. Had to take a run to town for a couple of errands.
Had a friend stop up late yesterday afternoon. He brought a couple of friends with him. Talked to him about putting a new metal roof on. If it works in our budget, hopefully within a month we'll have it done.

 

I thought Chaz was gonna tackle that roof. Maybe he can help y'all's friend do it.

 

Oh he'll be right up there with them. We did talk about feeding them lunch and possibly dinner. One idea I through out was smoke a loin while they are working. And of course a cooler full of h20 and beer afterwards.

 

Good morning everyone! My grandson got picked up around 5 yesterday, whew! When he heard his parents knock on the door, he said, "I hope that's not Daddy!". He had a great time here, it helped that we had 3 fantastic pool days.
I'm picking him up after camp today too and bringing him back to his house, but that's no big deal.
It will get up in the mid 90's today. I'm itching to work on firewood, but we have cooler weather coming after thunderstorms tomorrow.
This year there will be a lot of grapes!
I eat some, but leave most to the squirrels.

Good morning y'all. Hope y'all have a TERRIFIC TUESDAY. We are hauling 2 of our kids to Dr appointments this morning. My hunny is taking one daughter and grandson for his check-up and I'm taking our oldest daughter to her Dr appointment about an hour away from home. When we get back, we're going to the lake to see our son and his wife's family. They have been camping since Saturday. They have caught some nice fish. Jeff"s FIL with two of the catfish they have caught so far.

So I guess this is my relaxing day...

Good morning everyone! Yesterday my dashboard thermometer touched 100°. Not that hot today but very sticky, and I'm done fighting it. I'll clean inside today and wait for the afternoon thunderstorms to clear this hot air out.

Good morning everyone! We got a satisfying thunderstorm and soaking yesterday afternoon, and dryer cooler air is moving down from Canada. I am so ready, I haven't done anything outside for a week. I'm going to move my oldest stack from a kind of inaccessible spot, to right in front of the woodshed, so it will get burned first after shoulder season. Lots of good stuff in there, apple, cherry, and elm.
I got my first big ripe tomatoes too, Celebrity. At last!

I have been. They are small but sweet.

Good morning y'all. Hope y'all have a FABULOUS FRIDAY. All good things must end, I guess. 7 days off are over......start back on nite shift. Going to split a bit of wood this morning, then nap time after lunch. My hunny is going with our daughter to Dr appointment at noon. Hope she gets to hear that heartbeat... that's right, grand #6 is in the oven. Hope all goes well with her.
Sorry I didn't check in yesterday, started out busy and stayed that way...lol.

Good morning everyone, it's a nice cool morning here in the low 60's, the coolest it's felt for weeks. They will begin picking apples soon. More moving wood, splitting, and stacking today. It's my favorite part of summer, when everything's getting ripe. Dinner last night was fresh corn, and fresh tomato sauce over pasta with grated cheese.
