Had a very light snow Sunday morning....in the 80s today.

Upper 30's to start. Heading to upper 60's. Mixed c.ouds and sun. Perfect! I'll be returning to my SIL's and begin processing the logs we piled up over the weekend.

Good morning everyone! Nice today, then a rainy spell for a couple of days.
Yesterday I moved a rack full of oak into the basement, and started splitting some fresh cut oak to take it's place. More of that today.
Found out yesterday that the city will pave our street this summer. No construction yet behind us, someone is still living in the house that will be knocked down. I'll enjoy the peace and quiet while I've got it.
I tried that Conecuh sausage, split and fried, on a hot dog roll with relish, and it was delicious!

Good morning! Going to be a hot one today going up to 85*. Plans changed last night as a toilet was in need of repair so the night kind of stunk... Plan to mow the back 1.5 acres of the back yard tonight. Probably spend some time in the barn working on a project or 2.

 

Morning All. Yesterday turned out to be a beautiful day so Mom and I worked in the garden. Overcast with the threat of rain this morning. We have a sick dog who has been throwing up. Hopefully she is better today. Mom and I are on the road today.

Good morning y'all. Hope y'all have a TERRIFIC TUESDAY. Started out in the uper 50's, heading to 85° this afternoon. Another blue sky day here in our little piece of GOD'S WORLD. Working all week 7AM-7PM, so in the woodyard from 7:30-10:30pm. Finished up some oak chunks and cut up some older cherry for our BBQ customer. It's taking awhile, having to trim off the soft sap wood.

I made a video after fishing yesterday and posted it to Tiktok....it received 34,000 views overnight and I gained almost 300 followers. Fun stuff.

Good morning everyone! Rainy today, so we'll head down to MA to do a few things. We'll stop by and see my brother at his workplace, and then head to a big garden center for annuals and MAYBE tomato plants. I only need 6 so I will have to choose wisely.
We'll get some takeout lunch somewhere too.

Happy Wednesday morning! 68* to start today, actually ran the A/C at home yesterday. Mowed the remainder of the back yard last night, installed new mailbox and picked up pallets that my wife told me about. I didn't need more but... Found that the spring for the overhead door on the garage broke in two so I had to get a garage door guy to come out. He'll be here tomorrow afternoon. Rain supposed to be moving in today. Going to bible study tonight. Plenty to do!

Funny thing about pallets. Every time I think I can't possibly need any more, I think of another way to use them. I have probably 75 in inventory. I'm sure I'll stop hoarding soon. Like I stop hoarding firewood...or not. 2 companies are pricing the repairs. I've been nursing the 16'x8' door along for several years. It's probably time to do a serious overhaul or just replace it. I checked Menards online last night for fun. The earliest I can GET a door is in June. One of the reasons I'm not doing this myself.

 

Good morning y'all. Hope y'all have a WONDERFUL WEDNESDAY. A bit cloudy today, nice temps though.
Another day being a dirt chef, mixing and cooking kaolin...
We worked on the woodyard last night till 10:30, almost finished cleaning up the old cherry logs, we got them in July '19, somebody is a little slow on the processing...still has some solid heart, but the sap wood is a mess.
Should have about 1/2 load of it, will finish with a couple more cherries we are gonna take down.
And he wants a 1/3 cord of pecan in a couple weeks......
He has been cooking with the hickory he got from us too...
Our friend from Ala is coming over to stay a couple nights. He has a radio interview with Y96 in the morning, they have a large audience and then will be on our local station tomorrow afternoon. His single is soon to be released. He will leave Friday morning to head down to south GA, Valdosta, to play a couple gigs. His career is doing much better.
