Good morning yall. Hope y'all have a SPLENDID SUNDAY. Had to work an extra night last night, so will probably get a nap this morning. Hate to miss fellowship and worship this morning. We will be placing my MIL's grave marker after lunch today and then having company over for son in law birthday supper tonight. Grilling up some more ribeyes.
This is the day that the LORD has made, I WILL REJOICE and be GLAD.

Good morning everyone! We'll have rain in the AM, letting up around 1. I hope we can get my grandson outside, he needs to run around and in the house doesn't quite cut it. Happy for some rain, though.

Looks like most of the rain is heading more east than north.

Another year of drought. Ugh

 

Woke up to rain this morning. Instead of walking, I spent some time in the sewing room. I have a project with a deadline to finish. I think we are watching curling today so I will get some knitting done.
Some broccoli, marigold and pea seeds are sprouting in the sewing room. I will have to move them up to the dining room table for more light. If it is dry after Tuesday, I will be putting out the peas in the garden.

Here, because our winters are milder, you can plant peas in February or March with a cover over them. We just went through a week of really warm weather that really would have accelerated anything I would have planted before it happened. I didn't get anything planted until the warm week was nearly over. Most people around here look at planting peas, spinach and lettuce in April or May.

Morning. Couldn’t sleep, got coffee at 2 am. Extremely invasive water hyacinth are heavy on the lake. They have sprayed a lot which I don’t like but it seems to be a necessary evil. They have beautiful purple flowers that have started blooming. I will try to get a pic today. Have to figure out what to cook today, perhaps Publix wants me to have chicken wings...
