Morning all. Made a quick trip down island yesterday to get campinspecter's hearing aids fixed. After our walk and before lunch, one died on him. Fortunately we had good but windy weather. Just out of town, there was a tree down beside the road. We both looked at it and said Firewood! I said maybe we should have brought a chainsaw with us. Anyway good trip and now I am not yelling at campinspecter.

Rain this morning and it is going to be a busy day. I have children Sabbath school packages to work on this morning and our new wood fired boiler will be delivered this afternoon. Pray for us that the rain stops and we can get it to the basement with any trouble. The boiler weighs 1550 lbs.

    Everyone have a great day.

Good morning. We have been busy with our jobs, and helping to care for my mother-in-law in hospice. I am going to hit the lake early today.

Good rainy morning. The kind of rain that would keep Brandon Scott, off the water.

Upper 30's, moving to upper 40's, later today.

Sitting here with my coffee, watching the wood stove TV, listening to the rain.

We did go for a ride yesterday.

Not the best of days, but nice to see the coast.

I suspect I'll be in the basement later, sharpening some chains.

    Stay safe
    Stay healthy.

Good morning. I am staying in and drinking coffee. The wind is gonna get up quick so I’m skipping it. About Tuesday our weather is supposed to get back to normal with 75-80s for a high with warmer mornings. Those 40 degree mornings across the lake are rather eye opening...

Good morning everyone! 39° and pelting rain. It beats snow! I have no reason in the world to go anywhere today, so I'll channel my energy into cleaning and organizing something.
I passed along all my mother's waterproof bedding pads etc. to our mailman. He is taking care of his mom with dementia. We have conversations about her whenever I see him. He is a very talkative guy.
I found some bird food grade shelled peanuts for the squirrels, too. Little things that give me satisfaction. NuOhBVE.jpg Hope you all have a good day!

Morning All. Another answer to prayer. We got all 1550 lbs of boiler down the slope and around the corner to the basement door safely yesterday with no rain. Didn't get it into the basement yet. That is another major project. It is all wrapped up in an old main sail from our last sailboat so it should be protected from any rain.

Praise the Lord, my soul, and forget not all his benefits. Psalm 103:2 NIV

    Happy Sabbath everyone.

Awesome! Did you and campinspecter have help, or did you do it on your own? I know he is quite ingenious at moving heavy objects.

Once the truck dropped off the boiler (and it nearly did literally drop it), it was just the two of us to get it down the hill. We used the woodsplitter winch and truck to ease it down the slope. I think we are going to need more bodies to help with the rest of the journey.
