Good morning all! So this is happening today...



We're trying one of our homegrown turkeys today.

 

Morning All. Dark and windy this morning so we are waiting for it to get light. We did have a nice walk yesterday T.Jeff Veal Sun was breaking through the cloud cover. Turned to pouring rain later in the day.

Chores, football and baseball today. I am hoping to get to work on a baby quilt for a great, great niece arriving in Jan. I am not a fan of pink but I think I have come up with an idea I can work with.

Hasn't been a problem in the past. Hope it isn't now.

Wasn't a long line. In and out.

And, I hate needles. Can't even watch one being used on tv. I'm OK with zombie shows, but close me eyes to needles. Go figure.

 

If it is anything like the ones we had, it is going to be out of this world. Best turkey I ever had.

 

One of our wild "chickens" taken the other morning. We shot a bunch for the canner over the last week.


This little guy was hanging out one morning. After the snow, he was gone for the rest of the time we were at the cabin. Hopefully his mama is still around.

Dad is 92. Mom is 90. Still living in their house of 60+ years.

They are doing ok. Limited social contact is getting old. We all help out where we can.

So glad you still have them both and they are home. Lost my dad in '01, mama will be 94 Nov 1st. She's at home, but requires 24hr care.

Good morning all! I'm currently sitting in Elizabethtown, PA unloading my first load. Then its off to Marietta just up the road to pick up oil. A quick stop back in E-Town to unload some and I'm homeward bound after that. Should be a fairly short day. Thats how I like to start the week

 

Morning all. We are headed down island for appts today. Hopefully the weather won't be too bad. we got our walk in yesterday before it started to rain.

Good afternoon everybody. I think we have joined the ranks of bring on 2021.
He talked to tech support again this weekend. Still not resolved.
Now we have been having issues our well pump again. We had run a water line to our house from the trailer as our well went dry when the pump wouldn't shut off. Worked fine. He shut that system off. Went back to our well yesterday. 2 am the well wouldn't shut off again. He shut it off at the brake. Got up to shower and didn't work. Went back to hooking up the line from the trailer and no power to run the pump.
Aaaaaah. Sorry about that.
The electrician came out and took a look and it all corroded so need a new system. So that means it will probably take a couple weeks to the tune of about $1600.
So in the mean time, can't get the well people out till tomorrow so Chaz was collecting and filling everything he could fill with rain water from the down spout. It job just. Happen to start raining about the same time he got up.
We are going to have them put in a whole new pump stuff. So that will probably cost about the same as the electric.
We have electric but no water and the trailer has water but no electric.
Ahhhhhhh
