Good morning everyone! I have a bunch of projects going. #1 weed out the mouse ear hawkweed from the front lawn. There are several big patches. hieracium-pilosella-fl-dkausen.jpg
#2, get the half cord of oak in the driveway, out of the driveway. It's been there since spring.
#3, incorporate the dirt from the tomato barrels into the garden. I cut down the tomatoes, the plants were getting all yellow.
#4, finish splitting and replanting the daylilies.
The pool gets to live another week. We may have visitors on Saturday. If they come, we'll have to miss the annual pig roast we attend. I'm ambivalent about going to that anyway. A big crowd, outside at least, but bound to be maskless.
    Have a great day all!

Another clear morning with a cloudless sunrise. Off to work. Am I counting? YES!! 8 days of work left.
Our trip went well. Good weather, good roads and good results from tests.
Got to see campinspecter's brother and his wife who just moved up island to the community we were in. Nice surprise for all of us.
    Everyone have a great day.

If you have never had a fresh cut onion with fried fish I highly recommend it...

Do you dip it in egg then roll in corn meal?

I gave a shout out to my son to give his dad a call and to ask him how we used to cook it. I am pretty sure that we dipped it in egg and then flour with salt and pepper. Then fried it.

Good morning. It is 37f at this hour. Tomatoes and pepper plants are not happy.

Better cover them up. It's still in the 60's down here.

Highs touching 80 are predicted here next week. I don't think we will be seeing lows in the 60s for 6 or 7 months now.

I have too many plants to think much about frost mitigation. I always just let nature take its course and go from there.

    Good motning.

Temps and dew points in the mid-70's today. Yuk. Rains later, which will be very much welcomed.

Planning some grocery shopping this morning. Then, nap during showers.
