After my sister's boys all grew up, she put koi and minnows in hers...I've got a few rain frogs in there now...told my hunny I was going to catch a bull frog and add some bass to the nightly chorus.......

I just picked up a new (to me) truck last night. So now its time to make plans

 

Grandson lives in Malden, so we go to Revere Beach, a 20 minute drive on local roads. It's more than 3 miles long, with free parking for the whole stretch. Clean and well maintained. It is somewhat sheltered from the open Atlantic, so usually no big surf, good for kids. It is enormous at low tide!

 

My grandparents had a cement pool that went to pot. It leaked somewhere, so the deep end held water and the shallow end stayed dry. It turned into a toad spawning ground. Thousands of little toads.

Thunderstorms on and off today and tomorrow, with rain in the forecast for the next week or so.


Been spending more time on the lawnmower than anything else.

 

They were on fire this morning.

I was home by 6:45 AM with a limit of beautiful bluegill. We are hosting my wife's parents this afternoon for a fish fry and a rhubarb crunch.

 

I am so jealous!!!! You have no idea.
