Good morning. Cooling off after 90s. Rain felt good yesterday afternoon.

 

Good morning everyone! We got a spatter of rain last night, maybe there will be some more today. I'll work on my wood storage project, and split the sugar maple from yesterday. That is, if it's not too sticky outside.

 

Morning all. Overcast but it is expected to clear as the morning goes on. campinspecter will be heading out for a load of wood. I get to stay home and work this morning. the last couple of mornings it has been getting up with one eye on the clock to get to work on time. Working from home kind of spoils you.

 

Good morning y'all. Hope y'all have a WONDERFUL WEDNESDAY. Did y'all miss me? I missed y'all, got too busy and didn't check in, I read the comments, glad y'all had some great days. Still have our daughter and 2 grandsons with us. She stays with us when her husband is working, he has been on his 7 day cycle this past week. Just don't get enough sleep sometimes, especially my hunny. And we still have wood to go get or grass to cut. They will go home tonight or tomorrow morning. We have a couple yards to cut today, then I will probably work on the XL wood shed, my hunny has to go in for training on the new voting machines.

We had severe storms roll thru here last evening. We had strong winds, some reported up to 70mph, hail up to 3 inches in diameter (nothing that big at our place) and 1.4 inches of rain. Temps dropped over 20 degrees in an hour. Lots of leaves on the ground and I will be going out to see if there was any more damage done in the woods.

Like Erik B we had bad storms also last night. Got up to go to bathroom and opened bedroom door and lighting was putting on a show. Went back and put my glasses on to see the show better. Lighting going off so fast thunder couldn't keep up. Trees were swaying all over the place. Well Holly insisted she had to go out. Told her she didn't want to do that. She insisted so put her bling on and stepped out on the porch. Man that wind was howling. She went about half way, turned around and headed to the door. Lol

I took a walk in our woods and noticed one 8 inch diameter poplar over by the roots. Lots of sticks and a few more dead elms leaning more than before. We got off lucky.

 

Glad it wasnt worse.

With MA reopening, we are hoping to get to Hyannis, the end of next week. So, I'll be eyeballing my salt water fishing gear. Making sure it's where it should be, and didn't wander away.
