That sounds good. Make up mini pastry shells like you would a tart and put your mixture in those to eat.

Good afternoon everybody. Started out about 28 and slowly climbing. Not going to get to warm. Been watching the bird fights at the feeder. Red breasted grosbeak don't want to share this morning. Cardinals there 50/50 on that this morning. Gold finches are fighting between themselves this morning. Got a small flock here. Chickadees popping in and out like normal. Had a red headed woodpecker hitting pretty good this morning. Well that is today's bird report. Everyone have a great Friday. Stay safe and stay healthy.

Keep those birds in line! I put grandson's leftovers and chicken skin and bones out for the possum last night. We watched the trailcam this morning, and he was making multiple trips, bringing the surplus back to his lair.

Chicken skin is one of the best parts. I love the skin.

We saw our first Oriole today. I put out the grape jelly for them. Hummers are also coming to their feeder. and wrens are building a nest in the bird house by the deck.

I read about the grape jelly. How do you have it set up. Last year I did have an Oriole stop by but didn't stay.

Chazsbetterhalf We have an Oriole feeder with two cups for the jelly and a couple of nails pointed up for orange halves if you wish to feed them that as well.

We do have to spray the pole and the ground around the base of the pole. We also have had coons get into the jelly. We have had to pick up the cups off the ground more than one time:headbang::headbang:

    Good morning.

Damp, raw, cool, breezy to gusty day today. No wooding. I'll be keeping a small fire going in the stove. Mid-40's is the forecast.

Time to go rummaging into the freezers to see what's been forgotten, to salvage or to toss.

    Stay safe
    Stay healthy

Good morning everyone! Inside morning for sure, damp, raw, and windy. I picked up some birch at the dump yesterday, if I feel like splitting in the afternoon. 0hQdlZX.jpg Have a great day everyone!

Good morning. Well we are sitting at 31f right now. If my tomatoes pull through this cold snap through much of next week I will be relieved, but not too surprised either way.
