    I've never caught any that big either. Don't know if they were caught on rods or jug fishing.

    There was 33" of ice in our location. This was a good pre dawn workout. The bigger blocks had to be over 150 lbs. At least they felt like it. For better or worse I was not going to be cutting another hole that day.

    For reference the decoy in this picture is 14". This fish is still swimming. The three of us have enough fish so we decided it was going to be a trophy hunt.

    Along with pike, I had a few walleye around off and on during the day, and got this one to bite.

    It happened...my buddy's 44.5" trophy for his wall. It was a great trip for us!

    Good morning y'all. Hope y'all have a MARVELOUS MONDAY. Time to open those peepers and find some COFFEE or vice versa, whichever works best for ya. 1 more night to work. Going to check on a possible oak score this morning, up the road from our son's house. Called the tree man, he is taking down a nice oak, gonna check with homeowner. Still got some to CSS on the yard too.

    Good morning everyone! It's 21° out there and cherry is warming the house. I'll try to get outside when the sun is out, and NOT binge on the news. Maybe I'll collect some more of the locust and oak left from Asplundh cutting, my husband sharpened the battery saw for me.
    At least I can go to the dump, they're not likely to close that!
