Good morning y'all. It's only 26* and a little breezy this morning. Somebody forgot to leave a little water running last night, so it quit running this morning...... I forgot to put a light next to the well switch......guess I'll be thawing out a pipe in a bit. We have to go cut a big white oak for a friend today, he's getting the trunk sawn into floorboards for his equipment trailer, we get the limbs and top.

Slept in a bit. I had to take a melatonin about midnight, after the cat woke me up for treats. And my husband let me sleep in, since he's still sick and in no hurry for breakfast. I'm a slave I tell you...

Good morning everyone! 10° now but headed to 40, even warmer tomorrow, and the storm this weekend will be rain! So, probably back to bare ground next week, which will be great. 40's next week too. Wonder what that old groundhog will say...
I've gotten in a wintertime groove. Clean something, doesn't matter what, in the AM while it's cold. Fill one cardboard box to bring to Goodwill. Then do errands and shopping. Middle of the day, do some splitting. Stop about 2:30 when the sun goes behind the house. Then shower, memes, dinner, and beer.
So far this week: Stack of rounds behind is what I have to split. It's mostly sugar maple with a little ash and beech mixed in, so easy stuff.

Good Morning y'all. I woke early, then sandman got me again. Went to bed late, after working in the woods most of the day. Helped a friend, cut 2 nice white oaks, he got 20' trunk sections for lumber and we got the rest, 2 dump trailer loads. Got to get going, got a pickup load of older wood the split and deliver today.

Did you all get enough sleep? I got the required 6 hours, so am good to go. About 5 is my minimum for a good day. I got 7.5 the last few nights, so going into the weekend with a surplus.

My wife is up too getting the coffee.

6 1/2 always seemed to be my sweet spot. I need to get back on a routine. Lately I've been getting more like 5 to 5 1/2. I wish o was one of those people that could run on 3-4 hours a night.
