Good morning everyone! No snow here yet but I think it could start at anytime. I'm gonna try to get some work done outside before snowmageddon strikes. I think they're saying 3-8" in our area. I'm not positive on that cause I quit following the weatherman real close years ago.

Edit: just started snowing a few minutes after I typed this

It’s ok. I used to drink just to stay on a level playing field with the rest...

there is a recycled flooring place there and moore and mcphearson had a warehouse of interesting imports ,never know what you will see ,furniture, caskets or a rickshaw ,i've seen all those down there . lexington gardens is now victory garden way ,homes that are 2.5 -4 million . there is a nice garden store in bedford right next door called new england nursery it is a bit pricey but has a lot of different things including water garden supplies and fish and goats and chickens which the kids like to see ,lexington still has wilson farms but it is just a yuppie grocery kind of place.

I'll have to try New England Nursery. Mahoney's is very expensive, and Russell's in Wayland is expensive AND far away. I miss the good old days when a 6-pack of annuals was 99¢!
I stop at Wilson Farms sometimes to shop their reduced shelf.
I miss the Victory Garden TV show too.

Good morning everyone! At least I don't have to grocery shop today, it will be crazy town for sure.
I'll get outside and make sure the tarps at all set, and move some wood from the woodshed to the small metal shed near the bulkhead. It'll save me some steps in the snow.
Grandson tomorrow, so I'll get ready for that. He's taking Kung Fu twice a week now. I hope he grows up before I get old!
We heard some live music last night, friends of my husband. They were the opening act, so we didn't have to stay out too late. It was nice to go out though.
Have a good day, whatever the weather!

the victory garden was another show started by the same guy that started this old house ,fair warning so you dont blame the messenger new england nurseries is not cheap but is nice to poke around at and i recommend you check it out but it is higher than mahoneys im sure ,but you can grab an ice cream at bedford farms and take a walk around great meadows natnl. wildlife refuge right near by ,your grandson may like it there ,there is an observation tower and trails .

i could walk to wilsons and in all these years i have gone there twice ,once i needed flowers because i was a bad boy i knew someone there so i got the employee price and the other time i was asked to pick up a fruit basket from there for a gift ,i did not pay for it just picked it up ,those were both a long time ago ,i don't think i would even be allowed in the parking lot with my american vehicles   there are a couple of garden places on 101a in amherst or nashua they may be worth a look in the spring

It's funny, Wilson's has another store in Litchfield NH, where they grow a lot of their produce in the summer. The two stores are like night and day. The one in Litchfield is summer only, selection is limited to what they grow, and a few jars and bottles. Just a sleepy farm stand.
I'm spoiled for plant buying. I used to work in the garden dept. at Home Depot, got all my plants for free, whatever was bound for the dumpster, which was a lot. My old supervisor still works there and sells me plants for $1. But, big box store selection.

T.Jeff Veal I am trying to remember my ex's. Something like. 1 on 1st shift 1 off, 2 on 2nd shift 2 off 3 on 3rd shift 3 off. 4 on 1st shift 4 off, 5 on 2nd shift 5 off, 6 on 3rd shift 6 off, 7 on 1st shift 7 off. Then start the rotation all over except the same rotation with the shift. It was horrible. But he had a job.

i have been by it but never stopped probably a more real place around here they cater to the snooty folks with deep pockets ,i have followed trucks pulling out of wilsons early in the morning down mass. ave and they pull into stop and shop for their next delivery ,of course i think they are overpriced as well but someone must believe there is something special there ,the family owns all of the houses that surround the property on mass ave and a couple on oak st. to the rear and a few on pleasent st. so business is good plus having a nh location lets them register there large trucks there

It was a good morning. Finally connected after seeing two other pike between 10 and 10:45 when I got this one. Perfect size for frying. It was 26 when I got the shack at 7 and 6f when I left with wind gusts pushing 40mph!
