    Sure feels good to have nice cool weather. Yesterday was mostly in mid 60's for high but a short stretch up to 69. This morning is 47. Sweet! I look forward to fall and see many signs of it already, including falling leaves, acorns and color changing. My favorite time of year.

    Morning all. Overcast with fog hanging around. We didn't see the sun yesterday. Overcast lasted all day so I didn't get the lawn mowed. Too much else going on.

    Hopefully we see sunshine today. August is always very foggy around here. The rest of the island is enjoying very hot conditions while we are pleasantly warm.

    Backwoods Savage fall is my favourite month as well. September and October before the winter rains show up.

    Morning all. Heavy overcast and fog complete with misty drizzle. We saw the sun for about an hour yesterday. Long enough for me to mow the lawn although in places it was still damp.
    We have been moving firewood from the outside stack into the woodshed. It all needs to be shorten about four inches so the process is taking a while. We had help yesterday moving the firewood uphill to the woodshed. A much younger pair of arms and legs.
    We probably will get it finished today.
    I tried vacuuming the sawdust out of the lawn and was partially successful. Using the lawnmower on the lowest height setting worked better.

    To add to my miseries, I ran out of arthritis medicine due to some mis-communication. Whoa. Has that ever stirred up the problem in back and hips especially. Wow. But finally was able to get medicine. Now will probably take a few days to get that settled down. Sometimes it is difficult to get a break... :mad::headbang:

    61/69 & maybe rain.

    Planning to work in the shop today.....I think.

    Yesterday morning I sawed up a few cedar logs, then worked in the shop most of the rest of the day.

    Thankfully the medicine has calmed the pain a bit. Not sure what I might try to tackle today. It is sunny so should turn out nice. Lots of folks will be gone or going north for the big weekend.

    Household chores today. Company coming for a short night stay. They are leaving early tomorrow morning to catch a ferry to the north coast.
    Lady will be happy as they are bringing their dog. Her first real playmate.
