Planing to try to make a buck today.

Yesterday I sawed a few pieces of cedar we needed for the porch build, also made some 1x for the stacks.

Morning all. Heavy overcast with the prospect of rain later today. Much needed on the other end of the island as we have a big out of control wildfire near a major center.

We were going to get company later today but it has been called off so major housecleaning can wait a bit.

MikeInMa Glad to hear it wasn't really serious for your wife. Age problems seem to take us by surprise as we don't think we are there yet.

Good afternoon, ya'll. Hope ya'll are having a TREMENDOUS THURSDAY. Rain last night, partly cloudy today. 89⁰ with 65% humidity, makes for a sticky day. Got a couple more 6AM-6PM days to work this week, nice OT. Training the new guy is coming along, he and his family will be on vacation next week, they're going on an Alaska cruise.
Chvymn99 I know what you mean about losing guys and normal schedules...mine started in May, I think i had 2 normal weeks since then.
On my co-operator's side, their schedule got crazy yesterday. A guy was let go yesterday morning......but he had been making some serious mistakes...he had been here close to 25 yrs.
On the bright side, when the operator test was given a month ago, our son made 2nd highest, so they offered him the operator job before posting it for bids...he accepted it. Now he won't have to stack bags after this weekend

We had 2 brief downpours yesterday, about a minute in duration and about a minute apart. Crazy. Could use much more.

No real plans for today except to enjoy the changed air.

Good afternoon, ya'll. Hope ya'll are having a FABULOUS FRIDAY. 90⁰ with 65% humidity, I'm with Sawdust Man ...it's rough. Only split wood one evening this week...usually rain or too muggy. Big fan didn't even help much Tuesday. Working that OT 6AM-6PM shift today and tomorrow. Don't know exactly what will happen this evening...probably make room for the older mower, picking it up today.

We were given some yellow summer squash, tomatoes, and cucumbers on our way out the door.

Good morning. We are in the midst of our youngest son’s wedding festivities. Their ceremony was Thursday, and the big reception/party is tomorrow. We all so happy to have 6 still married grandparents still here to celebrate. My wife’s parents have both passed but we will have a remembrance table set up for them.

Looks like another miserable hot one today. 48 days with 90+ temps they said on the news. Looks like spraying, mowing and lots of sweating today.

 

Morning all. Overcast and drizzly. We have been having rain off and on since Thursday night. Smoke warning up since the wind changed to SE but I think the rain has taken care of it.

Today take time to accept the gift of salvation that God has given you. We don't know what tomorrow or the next day or the next day will bring. We don't even know what today will bring as it unfolds. This may be your last chance to say yes to your Creator, Redeemer and Saviour. Please accept his gift.
