I spent the morning at the hospital where dad is. Lung issues due to aspiration. 2024 hasn't been a good year for dad.

Hoping to de-stress with the Army/Navy football game.

Good morning. It warmed to 30 overnight. Not much planned today, other than church and a visit to see our son’s fiancé’s new dachshund puppy.

 

Good morning, ya'll. Hope ya'll have a SPECTACULAR SONDAY. 48°\54°, cloudy. Still working 7PM-7AM shift, going to church, we are having a Wreaths Across America event this morning, several members graves, including my dad, will be honored.

I'm hoping to move some previously cut BL to the yard. My friend with a PU is helping. Then out to breakfast with him, hopefully.

I'll then go visit my dad at the hospital.

Planning to rest today.....the kids cut up 5 hogs yesterday so they sure earned a day off.

Headed over to Mom's today. We have a funeral to go to. When Mom first arrived in her community, this was the first family she met. He was just a boy then.
campinspecter is staying home to take care of the house.

Yesterday morning when I tried to log on, it wouldn't let. Last night I was able to get on.

Been cold and rainy all day here.

 

Good morning everyone! My wood stove creeps, I assume due to expansion and contraction of the metal. It is currently about an inch forward of the marks where it is supposed to sit. The stovepipe is plumb when it sits on its marks. With the warm up coming, I can let it go out, move it back, and clean the glass.

Another 7PM-7AM night down, a few more to go. We will unload the items for our mission project this morning and get tables set up. Bags will be packed this evening, with delivery to schools Wednesday morning. Trying to make a difference in a few kids lives and spread the love of JESUS.
Mike, I'm so sorry to hear about your dad, sure was hoping he would get better soon, still praying for y'all, just know your FHC family is with ya'll on this journey.

Good morning. Sorry to hear about you facing that discussion with your Dad and family MikeInMa.

Heading to the lake soon for some spearing and angling should any panfish, walleye, or bass come in. My wife just got her sourdough out of the oven. A couple pieces of this with butter and honey is a great breakfast.

 

I usually put it back in place about 3 times per season. I can't think of any other logical explanation. I sometimes hear a noise coming from the stove that sounds like it's probably from expand/contract causing the metal legs to move on ceramic tile. If the movement was anything to do with loading/cleaning out the stove it would move it in the opposite direction.
