    Nice day ahead. 46⁰/64⁰ mostly sunny.

    Looking forward to having stitches removed so you folks don't need to keep hearing about it. :cool:

    No plans for the rest of the day. Maybe out for a bite to eat with Mrs MikeInMa. She's been down with back pain, feeling incrementally better each day. It's been a long journey for her.

    Good morning, ya'll. Hope ya'll have a WONDERFUL WEDNESDAY. 61°/77°, beautiful day to be outside. Taking a couple vacation days, helping a friend tarp/cover a couple holes in their roof, hauling pine logs to the chip mill and hopefully moving equipment over to the house with all the hickory and white oak down. We'll see what can get accomplished.

    Shop work today.

    Still in plenty pain from Monday's concrete work.....:pain:

    Took the day off yesterday and went for a drive with my bride.

    I had my foot stitches removed this morning. No issues. No surprises.

    Just need to hold back a bit as I slowly return to normal activities.

    Morning all or rather Afternoon all for most of you. We made it home. Event full right up to the end.
    Leaving town after dinner with only 2oo kms to go and we had a bearing on the trailer heat up and smoke. Spent the night in a pullout. Next day, unhooked, went home and got tools and came back. Took the tire off and the brake drum and took it into our favourite service shop. Short staffed and fully booked with jobs for the day BUT they replaced the bearing, packed the brake drum, lent us the right tool to install it and said bring it in and we will make sure it is right before you leave town. Ended up leaving the trailer there so they could inspect it and change the bearing on the other side before we bring it finally home.
    House survived our 5 months absence; just needed the heat and water turned on. Our lawn cutting, plant watering and mail pickup person did a good job while we were away.
    I hope to have more pictures posted in the next couple of days to finish off the trip thread.

    Now to settle down and get ready for winter.

    Woke up last night and thought Where Am I? the bathroom is so far away! Nice thing is that I don't have to get dressed to take the dog out in the middle of the night. Just open the sliding door and watch as she goes out and does her thing.

    We've been having morning fires. I let the stove go cold, then build a fire to be lit off when I get up the next morning.

    I'll be dealing with this-n-that out in the yard. Time for fall cleanup.

    Good morning, ya'll. 58°/77°, clear. Forecast for upper 40's next couple nights. Heading back to the house with all the hickory and white oak down, more great farwood logs.
    We got the pine logs hauled, some of these I would have liked to see go to Sawdust Man

    We helped one homeowner with limb clean-up and took down a tall persimmon tree that was leaning over his driveway. He insisted on giving us a very generous donation.
    After that, we did get the big hole in the roof patched, very hard to stand on that roof, our friend will get someone else to tarp it. Didn't want to see me bounce on the ground.

    Yes, it was a great trip and made us realize how more there is out there to see. A few ups and downs but God took care of the problems.
