Had an enjoyable time at my SIL's cookout yesterday.

I'll go for a walk behind the lawnmower. Then, move the last bit of red oak to my growing inventory area.

Unsure about this afternoon. I suspect I'll succumb to a nap.

Morning all. From a very nice day yesterday with perfect weather to a grey rainy day today. We are sitting beside the St. Lawrence river where the big ships go by.

A man was going to hold a banquet and he invited a lot of people to it. When the time came, no one showed up. He sent his servant to remind his guests. Each guest had an excuse not to be there. So the man sent the servant out to invite everyone he could find - on the streets, in the byways, in the countryside.
Jesus invites each one of us to share in the salvation he has provided so we can live forever. How many of us are too busy with other things to accept his gift? Take time today to search your heart and accept the salvation that Jesus offers you. It is a priceless treasure that will never fail you.

Now when one of those who sat at the table with Him heard these things, he said to Him, “Blessed is he who shall eat bread in the kingdom of God!” Luke 14:15

Nearly afternoon here. Hot muggy day but then the breeze came up from the river. It is still hot but the breeze keeps the bugs at bay.
Last night after dark, we went over to the lock to watch a freighter go through. We stood at the west end at the end of the payment above the grass and bush. The breeze brought every bug there was right up the slope and into our faces. We moved downwind farther and solved the bug problem. Sitting here watching the freighters really brings home the size they are. We are here for a few days over the long weekend and then will be moving.
