Good morning to everyone. I turned off the boiler thinking the cooler temperature was behind us. The coals have all burned out, so I am stepping out to get clean it. I will reload and get it going again. After a warm spell this weekend, we are due some more rainy and cool times.

plenty of splits to bring up from my work areas, so time again to get at it.

yesterday was spent with accounting on the taxes for the tree farm. Politely advised my brother that the floorboard of my truck is not the place to file thousands of dollars of receipts for deductions. Also justifying using the farm account at Arby’s is a tough sell.

well enough of that. Make it a great day. God promises tomorrow to no one.

    Good morning y'all.

    40/71 sunny.

Have to make a lumber delivery this morning, then not sure what for the rest of the day......will try to be productive.

Finished the taxes yesterday by about 3pm, then stickered some leftover oak.

    Y'all have a blessed day!

Good noon time, yall. Hope ya'll have a FABULOUS FRIDAY. 68° and breezy today. Got over half the mulch spread yesterday afternoon, then we went on a date night. 20240411_161122.jpg
Started my 7AM-7PM shift for the weekend, taking oldest daughter out for her early birthday dinner after I get off. She will be 36 tomorrow.
My work anniversary is today, 35 years of shift work...
    Time sure has flown by.
Be kind, lend a hand, be encouraging.

MikeInMa so sorry to hear about your Dad. May Jesus give y'all peace and comfort in the days ahead. He is the same age as my mom was in '22.
It's tough to see a parent decline in health, he has been blessed. We can only hope to have as many years.
We are with y'all in spirit, your FHC family.

Morning or rather afternoon or rather evening all. It has been a busy day. Got up early under overcast skies and headed out for another load of firewood. Day turned sunny and windy. Got home at noon and watched curling with lunch. Been busy with chores ever since. I think we are in for a week stretch of dry sunny weather.

    Everyone have a great evening.

    Good morning y'all.

    50/85 sunny....too hot.

No definite plans for today, will see what develops.

Yesterday Sam and I delivered the lumber then took the "scenic route" home.....doughnuts, pizza, ice cream, etc....

Tom and I discussed business the remainder of the day.

Found this in the garden yesterday. 20240412_154800.jpg

Morning all. Going to be a sun shiny day today. Overcast is already starting to break up so we can see the sun. Cool at night but not bad during the daytime.

Jesus gathered his disciples together. He had a special mission for them. Since he called the first four disciples and then the rest were gathered in, they had been with him constantly as he taught the people, healed the sick, restored the blind and the lame and even raised the dead to life. Now he wanted them to go out and do the same. He sent them two by two with instructions to take nothing with them: no extra clothes, money or food. All would be provided by His Father.
Sounds impossible doesn't it. But with God nothing is impossible. We might not be healing sick or raising the dead to life but we are asked to go out and share the Good News of Salvation with those we met. We might not feel we have the funds to take care of us and our families while we do the Lord's work, but He will provide what we need.

Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” Matthew 19: 26

    Happy Sabbath, everyone.

Good afternoon, ya'll. Hope ya'll are having a SUPER SATURDAY. Currently 75°, blue skies and light breeze. Of course I'm working 7AM-7PM. But it's a good day at work, I'm vertical and ventilated.
We had a few limbs down in the yard, no damage. My brother in N GA wasn't as lucky, Bradford pear totalled his Toyota car I think. 28662.jpeg 28661.jpeg

Weather is warming up and that is good.

Visited a widow yesterday. I was good to see her again. Her husband and I were friends from childhood and he, his brother and I lived together for a time before we all got married. He passed away about 3 months before my Judy did. Also, only about 6 weeks after Judy and I married, that couple did the same. So we've been friends for a long time. The widow is not in good health and hasn't been since she spent almost 6 months in the hospital 3 years ago because of covid. She also has had to be on dialysis since then. Such a shame.
