Good morning, ya'll. Hope ya'll have a WONDERFUL WEDNESDAY. 60° forecast for 79, partly cloudy. Got the tractor home last night, we're done at the Plantation for now. Still have some pine pulpwood to haul when the mill starts taking it again. Going to do some yard work and odd jobs for our friends today.

    Good morning, members.

    Cloudy day. 40⁰/60⁰ showers later.

Lowes has bagged mulch on sale at $2.00/bag, until Sunday. I hope to get 20 bags this morning.

Then, to check on my dad.

    Be safe

Thanks for the heads-up on the mulch. My wife has been waiting on the sale, we will probably need a whole pallet (75 bags) ...we ran out last year.

The thing about mulch, is that you never have enough. There's always that one place where you could've added more.

I was surprised yesterday to find some may flowers and violets blooming! That is early for this area. 2 days of 70 degrees wakes things up.

    Good morning y'all.

    59/62 rain sometime.

The plan is a town trip this morning, then tax nonsense this afternoon......and, maybe something useful will happen somewhere along the line.

Yesterday afternoon Tom and I made three 8x12x8' mantles for a customer.....oak & cedar.

    Y'all have a blessed day!

Morning all. well, yesterday went well. We got out and got a load of firewood and on the way back, it started rain. Perfect timing. The afternoon was spent working on a project for Mom's library.
This morning is dark, grey and wet as we are up early. campinspecter is making a trip to town and I am home working on the library project again. They are celebrating 65 years in operation in two weeks. Hard to believe that Mom was involved right from the start. First as volunteer desk person, then as the paid librarian and now again as a volunteer who is in charge of everything. Having spent a large part of my early life in a library, libraries have always been part of my life. Mom's love of books has been passed down to me and our two daughters.

    Everyone have a great day.

Good morning, ya'll. Hope ya'll have a TREMENDOUS THURSDAY. 68° heading to 80°. Cloudy with a few showers early, think the sun will show up this evening. Heading to Lowe's with the trailer to get a pallet of mulch and run a few errands. Hope to cut up some limb wood and get it in the shed.
    Be blessed, be a blessing

Morning all. Dark, grey and raining this morning. It is supposed to clear up for the weekend. We need the rain so I can't complain too much.
Got my project done and sent for the library. Now I am working on a PowerPoint for the celebration and bookkeeping this morning. Good thing there isn't a Blue Jays game today. They need a break.

    Everyone have a great day.

Well folks, it seems that after 95 years, the earthly leg of my dad's journey is coming to an end.

He entered the hospital on Easter Sunday with what turned out to be a bowel obstruction. Things cascaded to fluid in his lungs causing stress to his heart. Having congestive heart failure, limits what can be done. He's aspirated a few times since Easter, which has resulted in only being able to drink thickened liquids and pureed foods.

Family is coming in to the area to assist in the "what's next chapter as dad will most likely be soon entering hospice care. With the doctors not able offer anything to improve his condition, dad has made the decision that's he's done. A decision that needs to be and will be respected.
