Good morning. Ran an errand this morning and was greeted with a nice rainbow over a pond.

I'd guess around 400lbs each.
We didn't even try to move them by hand.

 

Yep, sent to bed without supper......
I probably need to miss a meal or too......
Don't like to lie down on a full tummy

Morning all. Grey overcast with the threat of rain this morning. Got up early and watched Canada lose gold by one shot. Sweden won for the seventh time. Great game, down to the last shot.
campinspecter suggested going out for breakfast and I didn't say no. Chores, bookkeeping but first I think we will watch baseball. Hopefully the Blue Jays start scoring runs.

Nice day ahead. 33⁰/66⁰ clear.

I'll be happy when the eclipse is history. Too much coverage, IMO.

Instead of traveling towards the path of totality(3-4 hrs), we're day tripping to Cape Cod. We were supposed to be there for the entire week, but my dad's situation changed that. We'll stop by to check on him later this afternoon.

Sitting at the fishin hole with Sam, planning to make sawdust later.

Yesterday was a sad day at our place, we sold our milk cows....
The weren't doing well on account of us having no pasture.
They are going to be nurse mama's on a beef ranch, they'll be happy with lots of babies and green grass!
Tom's pretty bummed, he's been milking his cows twice a day for about 8 years now, but it was his decision to sell them so that helps.

Morning all. Overcast and drizzle today. No firewood gathering today. Not going to experience the 17% or less partial eclipse in this area. It may get a bit dark and dreary about noon. Chores and working on a project for Mom. Inside day today.

Sawdust Man sorry to hear about the milk cows but it sounds like a much better place for them.

Backwoods Savage our summer weather turned back into late winter weather. Temps have been just above freezing at night. Fresh snow on the hilltops behind us.

Well. The day trip didn't happen as Mrs MikeInMa woke up feeling sick.

Instead, I went to check on my dad. It's not good. He's being sent back to the hospital as his lungs are again challenged. I'll head there in a little bit.

 

That sucks on both counts.

Planning to make sawdust and do some desk work today.

Yesterday we ended up wrenching......the pickup wanted a new starter, cap, & rotor.

We moved a big stack of dry pine into the barn in the afternoon/evening.






Oh, and we accidentally saw the eclipse on the way home from the auto parts store.
