Good Morning, Brothers & Sisters Thread

Went to our caucus last night. It was packed.

I won't go into the political personalities because I know this isn't what our site or this thread is about, but thought I'd share a picture and describe the process we use here in Iowa.

A representative for each candidate gets up on stage and gives a speech as to why we should vote for their candidate. Often its something that is staright from the commercials but a few gave more personal speeches. These are local people who are usually asked by the candidates to represent them, but sometimes it's just someone who likes them.

A total of 6 minutes per candidate was allowed so if you have 6 speakers, each would get a minute to speak.

Then we vote by writing the candidate name on a slip of paper given to us by the organizers.

Id's were required to get the slip of paper and were checked against party registration forms.

Votes were counted by the party members with someone representing each candidate observing.

Morning all. Clear skies again this morning with temps just below freezing. We are supposed to get snow, rain, freezing rain tonight for our warm up. So far the guessers have been pretty close. It has been nice to have sunshine for a few days.

Moving firewood today and chores are on the agenda.

There's an inch of frozen slush......everywhere. I'll be spreading rocksalt then chipping n' chopping this morning.

Good morning, members.

We're in a stretch of winter days. 15⁰/30⁰. Sunny with clouds moving in.

I'll definitely be bringing wood to the deck. I'll have to chop n' brush my way into the stack after snow and freezing rain Tuesday.

Some grocery shopping will get me out enjoying the winter scenery on back roads.

Good morning, ya'll. Hope ya'll have a TREMENDOUS THURSDAY. About 22° this morning, heading to the 50's maybe. The breeze had a bite to it all day, yesterday. We got wood hauled yesterday, after we had his load of oak loaded, he called said he needed dry wood too...delivered the oak and then carried him a half load of cherry and pecan. Got a local delivery this morning, mixed load of hickory, cherry and oak. Then we have to clean up a spot for our son, he's buying a 14x48 trailer to fix up and live in.
After lunch, have to clean up leaves in a big yard.
Have friends coming over tonight, planning things to do on our cruise together in Oct.
