    A sad day here. Three years ago was the last time I heard my wife say she loved me. She smiled, we kissed and she fell asleep. She never woke up again and passed away the following night. God, what an awful time that was...

    Morning all. Dark, wet and windy again today. Yesterday was nice to have our daughter here even though she was working remotely for a lot of the day. Went out to dinner last night and then drove around looking at Christmas tree lights.
    Visiting again today until she leaves this afternoon - hopefully between storms. There is a section of the road to her place that is having difficulties with all the rain that we have had.

    T.Jeff Veal I guess you will be watching the Orange Bowl by yourself as it will be Sabbath. Enjoy the game.
    MikeInMa I hope this Friday turns out to be a good day for you.

    Yeah, it was pretty horrible....I did get one good 1x6!.....but stihl a wast of time.

    Thanks Woodwidow :handshake: We both had the prime rib, she had the 8oz and I had the 12 oz. Baked potato and salad bar topped off the meal. We even had the quietest table in the place.

    The new truck actually got decent mileage for a 7.3L, 15.5-16mpg at 75-80 on the interstate.

    Morning all. Dark, wet and windy out there this morning. Rain forecast for the day. It has definitely been inside days this past week or so. Our daughter headed home after getting the valve stem of her tire replaced. She made it down to her sister in laws safely last night.

    Simeon and Anna had been promised by the Holy Spirit that they would see the Hope of Israel - the Messiah before they died. As Simeon entered the temple, he passed a young couple with their baby. The Holy Spirit spoke and he knew. He held the Messiah in his arms. Anna was also told of the Messiah's arrival. She joined Simeon in praising God for this gift of love from him. Are we looking eagerly for the Messiah's return? Are we sharing the good news of his first coming and the glorious promise of his return to put an end to all sin, sorrow and grief? God's promises are sure. It will happen as he promised.

    16 For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever. 18 Therefore encourage one another with these words. 1 Thessalonians 4: 16 - 18
