    Good morning, members

Yup - winter temps. 29⁰/35⁰ sunny

1st day of winter - the Winter Solstice

Hoping for a low key day. I know I'll be moving some wood to the deck. Beyond that, not sure.

    Be safe

That will certainly be different for you folks. But if you get what we have, that means more warm because they are forecasting a couple days of 50 here and that will be our Christmas present.

We are supposed to be in the 40's for Christmas, which is much better than 60's a couple years ago.

We hit 60 only once for Christmas and I think that was about 40 years ago. It was unbelievable. Going outdoors without a coat on Christmas day.

That year I was referencing it was warmer on 12/25 than on 7/4. Actually it might have been 7/4 the following year.

I did stack some wood yesterday. The sun was shinning bright and temp in upper 30's with no wind to speak of. Nice.

Good morning, ya'll. Hope ya'll have a TREMENDOUS THURSDAY. 26°, heading to upper 50's. Last day off, got a load of 16" splits to deliver, run a couple errands in town that I forgot yesterday...:whistle:...
Gonna start a thread on a blessing and surprise that happened this week.
Need to split a little oak.
Share a smile, lend a hand...

    Good morning y'all.
    20231221_080518.jpg

37/57 clouds, and a chance of rain by evening.

Yesterday, (after delivering of a small load of oak farwood) a guy I sawd for 2 years ago called and offered me some black walnut logs basically free for the hauling, (he had some cedar logs and needed four 8' 6x6s) so I drove the 60 miles one way and picked up about half the walnut & 4 cedars.
Had just enough daylight when I got home to swack out the 6x6s.

So, I'm planning to head back over shortly to get the remaining walnut logs.

Morning all. Overcast and not raining yet. I hope the rain holds off long enough to do the electrical on the sump pump at the church. Our long awaited pump has arrived and was installed yesterday in the rain.
Well, I didn't get my Christmas tree up yesterday. Too much running around and doing odd jobs. Visited the school to wish everyone a Merry Christmas. I missed out on Christmas breakfast there.
Today is decorating day. No more putting it off. I really enjoy the evenings with the tree all lit up - so much that I don't often take it down right away after Jan. 1.

Backwoods Savage unreal Christmas weather for you and for us. Weather guessers are saying that we may see this warm air pattern for a couple of more months. A winter without snow won't be that unusual but it hasn't happened for a few years.
T.Jeff Veal I see you got your Christmas and birthday presents for a couple of years ahead. Nice looking rig.
MikeInMa Have you any snow yet or is it forecasted for your area?

    Everyone have a great day.

No white Christmas here. Usually a low percentage of one.

2-3 hours north into NH and VT, there's a better chance.

8 at night and the temp is still 39. We too are going to have a very warm Christmas. Yard is even getting a bit muddy.

    Good morning, members.

Cold start. I usually take my coffee out on the deck for a few minutes every morning. It was a quick visit this morning. 19⁰/36⁰ sunny with a bit of breeze.

Just as I reloaded the stove, the oil furnace fired up. Thermostat is set to 63⁰. Another few minutes and I'll engage the cat.

Nothing major on today's list. Maybe we'll go out for lunch somewhere.

Had to start a fire in stove this morning. It's down to 72 in the house.
