    After 8am gets here I'll call a guy about pine trees & logs he wants removed... if he's game, Sam and I will go get em today......if not, I'll have to cook up some other plan.

    We had a very nice time yesterday eating too much with family, hopefully y'all did also.

    Morning all. Dark and chilly out there. Temps just above freezing. Moon is headed to full tonight I think. It has been looking pretty good so I am surprised we haven't had frost in the mornings.
    Last day of work for this week. It is exhausting teaching someone especially as we don't have long blocks of uninterrupted time. I know the job is like that though. You fit in what you can between the interruptions. I ended up with a wax plugged ear so it doesn't help that I can't hear from one side. Kids are loud until they come to the office and ask you something. When you ask them to speak up, they get quieter.

    Everyone have a great day especially those recovering from turkey

    Good morning FHC hope all of you had a blessed Thanksgiving. I spent the day with my Mom and today the wife and kids will set up the tree as I go to work at 2 and should get home about midnight. The stove is cruising at 400F with some ash and locust should drop to the 20s tonight . Have a great day

    I avoided going out yesterday. Just another Friday for us.

    I brought Christmas up from the basement yesterday. The tree will go up today.

    It is a bit nippy out there this morning at 16 degrees.

    T.Jeff Veal I like the horseshoe tree. Did you make that?

    The day after Thanksgiving I thought with the weather so nice I'd get to town for a few groceries. After all, going in the morning is usually good because of few shoppers. OMG! Where did all these people come from? I also made a quick stop at Home Cheapo and that was even worse! Then it dawned on me that this was supposed to be some special shopping day. I won't make that mistake again.

    Arriving home there is a message on the phone. It was a good neighbor. (Yes Jeff, it was Rose.) She had wanted to bring me some dinner (They weren't home on Thanksgiving.) So she said she will bring a dinner around noon today. Typically she brings enough for 3 or 4 days and it is delicious. This might be a good day.

    Dad just called he was out at Wally World... Wanted to know if I wanted a couple of turkeys...They had HS's marked down to $.45/lb ... mmm yeah... I'll take two... both about 13 lbs... cant beat that...$6 a bird...

    30/49 clouds and sun.

    Have to go clean up a few oak tops this morning, then either take the kubota down the road a mile and get some red oak blowdowns....or if I'm feeling lazy, just bring it home.




    Yesterday, Sam and I cut three trailer loads of logs, two pine, & one white oak.

    I'd say chances are high.. Thats how I got my turkeys this year from last years sale at $.50/lb and they were Butterballs...
