Planning to go saw on more dead trees today.

Yesterday Sam and I cut, tractored, and hauled two loads, one of decent sawlogs, and a load of nice dry white oak firewood logs.

Pretty sure it's just plain old cottonwood.

What's really dumb is...... I thought it was sassafras.....that's the only reason I sawed it down...

 

I've never sawed cottonwood when we had a mill.

 

Morning all. It has been a couple of busy days but we got home last night. Pics tomorrow. It doesn't look much different from the last one BUT it needs a newer phone than a iPhone 4 to connect to a lot of its features. I have had that iPhone 4 a long time. Otter case is disintegrating but the screen and battery are good.

Paul and Silas were being followed by a slave girl that kept hollering "These are servants of the Most High God" It was a plea for help and Paul turned and commanded that the evil spirit residing in her be gone. Her masters were not please that their source of income was gone so they turned on Paul and Silas. In the end Paul and Silas ended up in a dark, damp jail cell beaten, chain to the wall, in stocks and guarded closely. What would you do in this situation? Paul and Silas turned to the Lord and started singing hymns and praying for those around them. The Lord answered in a mighty way. An earthquake opened the jail and freed the prisoners. Good morning. My wife and I are doing the coffee service at church this morning. I plan on finishing up some yard work and doing some minor repairs on the spear house to get it all ready for winter. I think the grandson is coming over for us to watch and play with later this afternoon while his parents spend some special time with their daughter. We are sitting here at 28, heading for about 50f.

With the assistance of a friend, I'll be moving a PU load of ash and move it here. It's a couple miles from here. I have the wood cut and broken down to liftable blocks. We'll probably head out for breakfast when done.

Morning all. Chilly out there this morning but it looks like it is clearing. We had a storm go through last night. Lots of leaves blowing around.
Bookkeeping, cleaning and Grey Cup (CFL) game today. Our favourite team didn't get to play but it should be an interesting game. Winnipeg is the stronger team.
