Morning all. We have been enjoying summer weather here. This morning it is a bit chiller but I think we are going to get sunshine for the day. Unfortunately I was curious and now I can't seem to leave Canuckle alone. (version of Wordle). thanks (I think) to wildwest and Hammerhead20 I went back and started doing older ones.

We got here about 3:30 yesterday afternoon, after stopping by 2 dealerships, checked out the Honda and Polaris lineup.

Planning unplanned work today.

Yesterday, the boys had to get a cord of farwood cut & split for a repeat buyer that called in the AM, so I worked on the trailer board order solo.
Cut up two 6' post oaks for that (somehow I missed the iron on that one).
Then I decided to mill an elm we got on Wednesday.....pretty nice looking stuff... but I sawed 4 nails multiple times with a fresh new blade....
After that, I sawed up one of the big red oaks we cut from the neighbor a couple weeks back.

Morning all. Dark overcast and the possibility of rain today. Looks like we are in for a week of rain.

Our church bible study for this quarter is all about mission. Paul and Barnabas were headed to Lystra. The people seemed eager to hear the good news of the gospel. Paul spotted a lame man and through the power of Jesus' name, healed him. The people were ready to worship Paul and Barnabas as gods. In the process of explaining that they weren't gods, just people like them, the Jewish leaders riled up the crowd and the crowd stoned Paul. God protected Paul and so Paul and Barnabas left Lystra. Although we may not face stoning physically, we might face negative public opinion when we try to share the good news that Jesus loves us. Remember that God has given this mission to share with others for their eternal future as well as ours and he promises to be with us always.

19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Matthew 28: 19 - 20
